Dr. Robert Morgan Moore, MD

The positive that should had been the biggest red flag was how quickly I was able to see him. Past that the experience was my fault for ever walking through the door. Pompas is an understatement. It was difficult to not teach him a lesson in being respectful to people when trapped in a small room. I actually regret not teaching that lesson more than the waste of my time or the copay. Maybe he is great with elderly ladies, but there are far too many choices in town to waste your time with Dr Moore. From my personal experience giving him a 1 star rating is being to kind.

I refuse to call him Dr. because he is not there for the patient, he works for workers Comp and treats you like you are faking your ailment and pain and tries to put words in your mouth that you never spoke. If you have the unfortunate appt to see him make sure you record your visit cause he will twist everything you say to benefit workers Comp. His first and only loyalty is to self and workers comp, so be leary.

He performed surgery on my wrist and I was scared to be put to sleep. Dr. Moore seemed very at ease and conveyed his calmness to me. He also really seems to enjoy surgery and he is very good at it! The nurses at Cape Fear were very nice too!

Never have I seen such disrespect come from any doctor I have EVER seen. This man is rude and doesn't care about anything but the dollars going into his pocket. My husband who has broke his rib, went in for a follow up from an ER visit almost a week before. He was still in a lot of pain, and still could not perform his duties at work, as it required a lot of bending and squatting, lifting, and getting in and out of his car...A LOT!! So we tried to get him to rewrite the doctors note so my husband could claim this on his accident policy. (He can't work, and we have 3 kids to feed). When my husband questioned why he hasn't even examined him, taken any vitals, no new xrays or ANYTHING. He just used the xrays from the ER and he poked his side 4 times. Now, correct me if I wrong, but that is NOT an exam and to me is fraud when he charged the insurance company for an exam.

I CALLED DR. MOORE'S OFFICE AND THE LADIES UP FRONT WERE VERY NICE. THEY GOT ME IN THE SAME DAY. I AM DURING WITH SEVERE TAILBONE AND ONCE I TOLD DR. MOORE THAT I HAD THE SAME SORT OF PAIN TWO YEARS AGO AND A MRI WAS DONE AND WAS NORMAL, HE HAD NOTHING ELSE TO DO FOR ME. I ASKED ME TO I HURT BAD ENOUGH TO HAVE SURGERY, AND I TOLD HIM AT THIS TIME YES. THEN HE TELLS ME WELL WE CAN GET YOU SENT TO A SPINE SURGEON AND GET YOUR TAIL BONE REMOVED. IN SOME MUCH PAIN THE NEXT DAY I TOOK SOMEONE'S ADVICE I WORK WITH AND WENT TO COASTAL SURGURY AND SAT DR. MCCMURRAY AND I ACTUALLY HAVE A Pilonidal Cyst WHICH IS WHY I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN. IF DR. MOORE WOULD HAVE ACTUALLY EXAMINED ME AND NOT JUST LOOKED BECAUSE I BEGGED HIM TO LOOK THEN HE WOULD HAVE SEEN THIS AND NOT JUST BRUSHED ME OFF. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GO HERE NOR WILL I SEND ANY REFERRALS TO HIM AGAIN.

Dr. Moore was thorough and immediately saw me and knew I needed surgery to repair an extensor tendon in right hand. Immediately got it schedule two days later and did a fantastic job. My hand and finger is like nothing ever happened. Highly recommend!

While the ease of getting an appointment was memorable (same day in fact which is remarkable these days) I was unimpressed with Dr. Moore and his office staff. Sure they were courteous enough but when he told me I needed an MRI from an imaging place nearby I waited 3 days for the imaging people to get a fax from Dr. Moore's office. They didn't even have the right fax number. I had to call Moore's office and remind them and get the correct fax number for them twice. Then when it was finally time for the MRI I noticed Dr. Moore only ordered it for one shoulder when I told him I was experiencing pain in both. When I called back (again probably the 5th time at this point) I asked why only one shoulder? His response was "I only do things one at a time." An MRI is $1000 out of my pocket. I'm young that is basically all the money in my savings account. And the body doesn't work that way. One thing at a time, the body works together. I said I'm not doing the MRI - not with this… doctor anyway I'm not throwing money out the window on a bad doctor. Still in pain, still looking for a good doctor, while the promptness and ease of appointment is attractive the actual staff and doctor are unimpressive.

Looking for a very good ortho doctor; look no further. Dr Moore is your answer. Knowledge, experience, and professional makes a complete package
