He did a preop for another doctor, so I saw him a couple of times only. Once before op and maybe twice? after.

My daughter was at Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison and Dr. Fisher walked into the pre-op room when he walked in. He introduced himself and then went into a diatribe about how tattoos can give you Hepatitis C. He obviously saw the tattoo on my daughter's wrist. He tells her she needs to be tested as if he takes 100 people off the street there will be one with Hep C but if he takes 100 with tattoos there will be 13 with Hep C. This was so rude and judgemental and totally inappropriate for the situation. She is overweight in addition to having tattoos so his next attack was that she probably has sleep apnea as she is overweight. She was having a cervical fusion that day and was in severe pain. He whips out a tape measure and wraps it roughly around her neck telling her she has two symptoms of sleep apnea. Then rips her neck around to get the tape measure back. AGAIN, very judgemental and rude. He was so inappropriate and mean. I would not refer anyone to this doctor.

Dr. Fischer was one of a number of docs on the team treating my mom at Presby Dallas. As internist, he monitored her condition through direct observation and interaction as well as through testing diagnostics, then consulted with infectious disease, oncologists and other docs re condition and treatment. His depth of knowledge was remarkable, but moreso the depth of the tracking, assessment and analysis. He systematically turned every stone to assure nothing was missed. Extremely responsive to questions and generous with his time. He showed a great willingness to explain what's going on while deferring to specialists for options. One of the best doctors I've met.
