Dr. Robert Clark Rhoad, MD

I read some of these reviews online and was kind of spooked. Dr. Rhoad came highly recommended from my Primary Care Doctor and I trusted his judgement. Dr. Rhoad performed surgery on my right wrist and I had a great experience start to finish. He was very personable and thorough. He explained everything to me and my wife very well. The surgery was on-time, smooth, with no complications and his nurses were very nice in the office. After my experience, I would recommend Dr. Rhoad to anyone.

Carpel Tunnel done on both wrists , was told could go back to work after two weeks. Asked to wait a week longer , "other hairdressers go back to work " no won't give you another week off on Workers comp. Person I worked with had two done, HER dr. gave her 6 weeks off and the carpel tunnel never came back.. I was off 2 weeks and both hands have carpel T again.. He said NO but have tests done and another dr. who did nerve tests said that YOU DO have it again.. Never will go to Wellington again. Oh, person on staff told me they lost my file "after waiting over a half hour in the room " . Don't know if they ever found my files.. Case closed because I went back to him , no Carpel Tunnel..

With over 20 years experience as an RN and diagnosed with chronic arthritis I've see the good, not so good and great MD's. Dr Rhoad is an A one doctor! As you can see I took time to check all areas accurately. He is certainly one of the best if not the best when it comes to hand and lower extremity problems. I question the previous review as total accurate. I could not give the "top star" in two ares just because he is so popular and busy. The person below checked every area with the worst score. Really? I've seen multiple MD's according to their specially at four different places and ALWAYS the standard protocol is to get the x ray before seeing the MD. Another red flag the below review maybe incorrect. Dr. Rhoad handled my hand very carefully and gently. I was first administered a steroid injection and was informed I have a 50/50 chance the problem ,which was trigger thumb would be resolved. But please don't hold MD's to absolute numbers. Each person is unique depending on… many factors like age, line of work etc... to summarize the trigger thumb won, It required surgery. It's been 10 days since the surgery and my incision line appears straight just like two pieces of cloth line up perfectly. And I know I will not have that much of a scar due to the type of sutures. ( this is where it could get too technical for this review). So there you have it, a review from someone who's seen plenty as a nurse and patient and a review below who sounds emotionally charged. Funny, the review below never mentioned if her new MD was able to correct the problem. And by the way, carpel tunnel can only be diagnosed with an xray to rule out any other problems AND a nerve conduction study. If you want an accurate review ASK A NURSE. The end.

Very rude physician.I have carpal tunnel,arthritis.Dr Rhoades stated I had noting wrong with my hands.The x-rays have proven him wrong.my family doctor ordered the xrays,after me visiting dr rhoads.if you need a good physician.get another doctor.Spends no time with patient.bed side manner very very poor.
