Dr. Semo seems to have a larger workload than he can handle! Weeks have been spent going back and forth in the emergency room with gynecological issues and Dr. Semo is always too busy to come in. His schedule is SO full his next available appointment was four weeks out! After the 6th emergency room visit, they suggested that we pay out of pocket to see a new doctor in a different network!!!

Dr. Semo is my gynecologist at the Va if I had the chance I would love for him to deliver my babies in the future he is very attentive, give the information I provide. Dr. Semo is amazing caring I would not trade him for the world. Dr. Semo your my hero!

I went to visit the doctor with symptoms of a hard stomach, heavy periods, etc. Lab work was done, no one called me about results and I had to call myself. I was told I had a bacteria infection and was prescribed pills. Fast forward to now, and I am pregnant. We aren't able to see the baby on an ultrasound because of fibroids. I went into Dr. Semo's office with this condition and they missed it. Fibroids aren't treatable when pregnant but could have been treated if the doctor had noticed them. I can only wait it out and hope that I don't have too many complications. Dr. Semo and his nurse were negligent of my condition. I would hate for it to happen to anyone else.

Wondering, with all the news about VA "research", if he is freelancing within the system and taking advantage of the population available. Dr. Semo wanted to do biopsy and procedures, claiming i had a condition, and had had received certain treatments that were never part of my history. Maybe because i had been active duty military, he assumed I had STD? I do not know, but it was a noteworthy exchange. When I questioned this with an administrator, I received a very intimidating response. The insinuation was that I had a mental health problem. Wonderful job, VA! Of course, when I was seen elsewhere, the exam was completely congruent with my personal history. Duh! Something to be aware of. I am very cautious about anything weirdo or off track with physicians now. Especially within the VA system, where there's little oversight or recourse. Humiliation was just one service on the menu that day at the VA. Not one serving, but two big whoppers.
