Incredible MD. best in Morris county by far. You won’t regret him delivering your kids. Expert in the field. Highly recommended to me and now I’ve recommended many to him

Dr. Steer delivered my baby and was amazing. He came in to check on me every day in the hospital and made sure I was doing well. He has been doing this for years, so he is truly and expert. I had a C section, and I have recovered SO quickly! Even the other doctors on staff that day commented how amazing of a surgeon he was and how great of a job he did. Throughout the entire pregnancy experience, he was able to answer all my questions and keep me relaxed. I also love that his office is small; you feel like family every time you come in. Donna is also amazing, so shout out to her! I feel very lucky to have been referred to Dr. Steer from a friend and referred another friend to him, as well!

Dr. Steer was the most incredible doctor I could have had for my pregnancy and delivery. He is calm, warm, measured, and a master clinician. He answered all of my questions and all of my calls (which is impressive given his busy and unpredictable schedule) and always made sure my wishes were honored. We were so blessed to have someone so experienced and kind guiding us on this journey — knowing he will be my OB makes me want to have another baby! They don’t make doctors like him anymore. Also, his assistant, Donna is just as wonderful too!

This is a long review-but I want to explain the background of how I picked an OB/GYN and my experience with Dr. Robert Steer of Morristown. When I was looking for an OB after I got married, a young mom gave me great advice. She said “Go find a male Obstetrician.” Her reasoning and experience had shown her that all the female doctors she had seen were less sympathetic to her (in her opinion because we all have to deal with the same issues & we’ve all been through it) but the male doctors she had seen were much more understanding and supportive because they will never be able to physically experience pregnancy and are much more sympathetic. Armed with that perspective, I did a web search for “Best OBGYN in Morristown” and Dr. Steer’s name came up a number of times. I liked that it wasn’t a huge practice-just him, and what solidified it for me was a review by former professional football player Tiki Barber and his wife. I figured that those guys don’t just go to ANY doctor, they are… usually sent to the best, so I made an appointment for my new patient visit, and have been blown away by how amazing Dr. Steer is. I had my first child at 35 and my second at 40. Throughout each awful pregnancy and subsequent visits and pap smears, I can confidently say that this is the ONLY OBGYN I would ever go to. He is non-judgmental, matter-of-fact and compassionate. When a serious issue came up towards the very end of my first pregnancy, he explained the risks involved and I chose to have a c-section delivery. I was terrified because of the stories you read and the negativity associated with cesarean births, but Dr. Steer made it the easiest, most effortless and natural experience I could ever hope for. In fact, it was so great that I was determined to NOT have a VBAC for my second child and was proud to deliver through a 2nd cesarian. Reflecting on these experiences, I honestly shudder to think of allowing any other doctor to deliver my babies. You can bet that no other doctor will fight for what is right for you and your baby (or babies).

I switched to Dr. Steer after a poor experience with a larger practice during my first pregnancy, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to change! Immediately after finding out I was pregnant with my second child I researched top OBs in the Morristown area and found Dr. Steer’s practice. Initially, I was concerned that the practice was too small (only Dr. Steer and his receptionist, Donna), but after my first appointment I knew it was a perfect fit. At that appointment Dr. Steer not only performed my exam and confirmed my pregnancy, but he sat down to actually get to know me and my family. This little component to the appointment set the foundation for a trusting patient/doctor relationship and made me feel like I was more than “just a number.” Donna, his receptionist, was always warm and welcoming, and appointments were easily scheduled. I rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment to begin. Dr. Steer is incredibly personable as well as knowledgeable. As a… healthcare professional I admit it can be difficult to find a clinician who you feel like actually listens to your concerns, is experienced and professional, and actually has great bedside manner - Dr. Steer is definitely all of the above and more! Any time I contacted the office with a question or concern Dr. Steer would personally return my phone call with advice, and would even follow up days later if a more serious issue arose. I am considered high risk due to complications following my first pregnancy, and Dr. Steer always eased my mind as he closely monitored everything throughout my pregnancy. My delivery experience was so smooth, and my postpartum experience has been night and day different compared to my first pregnancy. I truly think the support I received throughout my pregnancy and postpartum has contributed to this! I’m currently 4 weeks postpartum, and can happily say there is not a single thing about my pregnancy or labor that I would have wished went differently. I look forward to using Dr. Steer for future pregnancies, and highly, highly recommend him!

Dr Steer is the best!!! He took care of my Daughter first Baby. He is the best of the best!!!! He’s very caring and comforting to he’s patients ! Always making sure the mom that is going through delivery is doing great and baby is om??

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Robert Steer and his Office Manager Sandra. Dr. Steer delivered my three beautiful babies via c-section. I felt safe and in good hands during my deliveries. Dr. Steer is very professional, attentive, organized, punctual, and focused during office visits and procedures. He receives patients on time without long office wait comparing to other doctors I have experienced. I am truly thankful for his service.

I went to Dr. Steer after a bad experience with the birth of my first child resulting in an avoidable emergency c-section. I wanted a vbac with my second and Dr. Steer was committed to making that happen. I had an amazing birth experience with my second. Dr. Steer is gentle but was tough when I needed him to be. He always listens to me and takes the time to answer my questions. He was hopeful but realistic, which I appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Steer. I also love Sandra, his assistant!

I had great experience with Dr Steer. Dealing with infertility I was very careful and scared with a lots of questions. Dr. Steer was very patient and knowledgeable so I felt very confident with him and I still cannot believe that I had successful vaginal delivery. I highly recommend Dr. Steer because he is great doctor with great experience.

Dr Steer walked me through complicated 2nd surgery due to Fibroids to delivering my twin Miracles baby girls. He genuinely cares for his patients and provides you with information and let you decide the best course of action. He is a true medical partners. His expertise combined with his great bedside manners make you be at ease. My pregnancy was nothing short of complications but me and husband knew doctor would take care of us and our babies. I am truly blessed to have found him. Not to mention Sandra his office staff is very sweet, always calming and efficient. They both make a great team and I miss them a lot since I moved to a different state.
