Dr. Robert Elliot Weltman

He jokes to cover up forgetfulness. Unprofessional.

I visited Dr Weltman and expected a complete skin checkup. According to references, this would include a review of my medical history and a head to toe skin examination. I also expected to be able to ask about spots that I was worried about and to be educated about what to look for in my skin care. Dr Weltman started our appointment by entering the exam room, looking at me, turning around and leaving - all without saying a word. When he came back a few minutes later, he said nothing about his first appearance. He proceeded to "peak" at areas of my skin and then tell me there was nothing of concern. I brought a one inch "birth mark" on my lower leg to his attention and he said he "hadn't noticed it"! He sent his nurse to take a picture of it and that was to be the end of my appointment. I had questions about spots on my face that he had to come back to look at and he seemed irritated about that. He prescribed an over the counter 15% glycolic acid and condescendingly said if I… googled it I would get 30,000 hits. He was not caring and gave me the feeling that I had wasted his time although I am paying for this appointment out of my own pocket as it is not covered by insurance. What a waste of time and money! So disappointed in you, Dr Weltman!

I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Weltman one week after initially seeing him for an unknown rash on my hand. At this appointment, Dr. Weltman was extremely condescending, immature, and unprofessional. I was so upset by his behavior, I let him know that his services were no longer needed, walked out of the room, and requested and received a full refund. I will never take any of my family members to this facility, nor will I recommend his services to anyone. I had not read any of his reviews prior to seeing him and therefore had no prior preconceived notions. I feel so strongly that no other person should be subject to his unprofessionalism, that I felt is necessary to write this review.

I find him to be a very caring, extremely knowledgeable doctor. He is concerned about my problems, listens well, and respects my questions. I saw the bad reviews and am astounded how much a vindictive ex-spouse can smear a very nice person and try to ruin his career.

The staff at Waters Edge Dermatology was very courteous and went out of there way to answer all my questions.

Felt comfortable and confident with the services I received. He as well as the staff took time to answer any concerns or questions I had before during and after the procedure. Definitely would recommend him to friends and family.

Not sure about the other reviews. I had a recommendation to go to Dr. Weltman and am glad I did.

Can believe he has history of domestic violence. Was a complete creep, and his eyes were almost non-human. He has absolutely no concern for his patients and is just an arrogant jerk. Will never go back in there again.
