Dr. Duralde is the managing partner of Pain Consultants of Atlanta and practices at Piedmont Hospital, Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Stockbridge, and Decatur. He has more than 20 years of experience treating conditions of the spine, including chronic neck and back pain. Dr. Duralde enjoys performing advanced interventional treatments for degenerative spine conditions.

Dr. Rod Duralde is a native of Atlanta. He grew up in East Point and attended Woodward Academy. He elected to pursue his undergraduate degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Upon graduation from Duke, Dr. Duralde was accepted to the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences to study medicine. He graduated and completed an internship in General Surgery at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga Tennessee. Dr. Duralde completed his residency in anesthesiology at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force for 12 years before entering private …practice.

Dr. Duralde is Board Certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the International Spine Intervention Society. Dr. Duralde is recognized as one of the best physicians in his specialty by Atlanta Magazine.

Dr. Duralde has served as the Medical Director for Pain Consultants of Atlanta, LLC as well as the Piedmont Pain Clinic for the past 15 years. He currently continues to accept new patients into his practice.

Dr Duralde is an excellent doctor. He is the best pain management doctor I have ever been to and he has a great and helpful staff.

Dr. Duralde is outstanding. I have had multiple appointments and procedures with him including a procedure he performed yesterday. In every case, he has effectively treated me and I have experienced immediate and long term relief. I highly recommend him.

Although I was never able to actually see a doctor at the practice I feel compelled to write a review for this practice in order to warn future patients. My sincere advice to others - schedule an appointment with this practice at least 2 weeks prior to feeling or having ANY pain issues that you may experience or even think you might experience. Communication with this office is the worse I have ever encountered. They do not respond to phone calls or voice mail. If you are so lucky to actually talk with a live person, they are rude and uncaring. If you actually finally speak to a "scheduler", you will not receive an appointment for at least 2 weeks. This is not acceptable for someone enduring extreme pain. My advice - find a different practice that at least shows compassion.

Although Dr. Duralde appeared medically competent, my experience did not come close to meeting the high ratings of other patients. Office staff rates a rating even lower.

Dr Duralde and his practice/staff are totally committed to the patient and their well being. He is a genius at asking questions and determining exactly from where the pain is coming and the best specific treatment for relief.Dr Duralde explains very well his plan for treatment and the expected result. I have never known a more dedicated doctor and feel blessed to have been referred to him.
