 |  Extremely good doctor and an extremely good person!  |  show details
by Larry Epstein, US Army Vietnam Veteran on Nov 4th, 2009

Dr. Roger Gordon Smith is a wonderful physician who chose his career as a VA doctor. With his exceptional medical skills and his superb people skills, he would have prospered in a private practice. Instead, he exclusively serves patients who are military veterans with service-connected conditions and disabilities and/or documented indigence. We are not a patient population that would appeal to many private practitioners. Nonetheless, Dr. Roger Smith treats all of his patients with thorough, compassionate, respectful care, and with unchallenged excellence. I owe my well-being and quality of life to his dedication to his profession. So do thousands of other patients he has served in his 28 years of experience. Among patients and staff, he is acknowledged as the most respected and admired physician at VA Medical Center Memphis. If I were to invent the perfect doctor, he/she would be incredibly smart, always careful, and capable of meaningful interaction with patients. I think Dr. Roger Gordon Smith is the perfect doctor.
