Dr. Roger William Wilson, MD

A lifelong resident of Southern California, Dr.Wilson grew up in Downey and attended the University of California at Los Angeles and the University of Kansas for his undergraduate education. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Kansas in 1971 and completed his internship at Los Angeles County-U.S.C. Medical Center in 1972. He served his military service in the U.S. Army, stationed in Stuttgart, Germany at the 5th General Hospital in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, where he earned the prestigious Army Commendation Medal for distinguished service. Dr. Wilson completed his training in general surgery and in adult and pediatric orthopaedic surgery training in Nashville, Tennessee at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident in 1978. He went on to complete a Hand Surgery Fellowship at the Combined Hartford Hospital-Yale University Hand Surgery Program under Dr. H. Kirk Watson.

his work with The Hand Care Center/Shoulder and Elbow Institute …Dr. Wilson is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California Irvine where he has been involved in residency education in hand surgery. Dr. Wilson holds an appointment from the State of California as a Qualified Medical Examiner in Orthopaedic Surgery. Board Certified in General Orthopaedics, Dr. Wilson is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr.Wilson is also a member of the Western Orthopaedic Association, the California Medical Association and the Orange County Medical Association where he is a former member of the Ethics Committee. staff membership at St. Josephs Medical Center, Dr. Wilson is a staff member of Western Medical Center, Chapman General Hospital, Irvine Regional Hospital, and the University of California Irvine Medical Center.
