Dr. Ronald Patrick Catanese, MD

I saw his reviews and decided to schedule an appt for my mom anyway. She had been hospitalized with a recurring UTI several times in the past few months and she wasn't strong enough to go anywhere else. He put on a good act the first appt, then his true attitude started to come through. His staff was incompetent. I couldn't even relay a simple message to him. I would have to call repeatedly to get him to do anything about her infection (the same infection would return 3-4 days after being off the antibiotic). He finally stated definitively that she did NOT actually have an infection, and when pressed on why she had extremely cloudy urine and all the symptoms of an infection, he got angry and told me to take her to a different doctor b/c my behavior inappropriate. My behavior?? I wouldn’t have had to push so hard if he was willing to do his job in the first place. Seriously, what minimally competent doctor would dismiss a patient rather than order a simply urinalysis just to make sure?… What minimally competent doctor would take that kind of risk with a 90 yr old in a fragile condition? He was so arrogant that the thought never crossed his mind that he might be wrong, and he certainly wasn’t going to put up with anyone smart enough to when he was.

Dr Catanese is one of the most caring, Drs. I have experienced. He took his time explaining procedures, my care was personalized, and he is extremely knowledgeable in his area of expertise. Could not have asked for better.

He doesn't care about his patients!! I waited one hour till he finally came in to see them we talked for 5 minutes he sent me home with antibiotics which iv been on n off for two years! i told him I was tired of uti's I get them every other month he just laughed n said see U in two months I also had a list of thing I do n don't do thinking that would help he didn't even give me a change to tell him it was a waste of money seeing him will not be going back! I was really looking for answers

I have been a patient if Dr. Catanese for several years, I am very pleased with his medical knowledge, time he spends with me concerning my health issues, and very accurate with diagnosis. He has a helpful staff that is willing to assist with any questions or concerns. I am very pleased with my care and recommend the Dr. To anyone who is needing a Urilogist!

DO NOT GO TO THIS "DOCTOR"!! Very unprofessional, unpleasant should not be a doctor! Treats patients like they are nothing! Does not care for ones health! Need to be sent to the ethics board and have license revoked. HORRIBLE! If you want to die from the lack of care you receive this is your doctor.

Good physician but office management of patients is not good at all.Staff lets patients just sit (hours sometimes) without explanation of delay. Once in a while it is understandable due to emergencies and such, but this last time it was because his flight was late on Monday morning, come on, when he knew that, he could have had his staff call patients and warn them or reschedule some of them. It becomes very frustrating especially after driving over an hour to be on time yourself.
