Dr. Ronald Eugene Cirullo, MD

I called this office 2 wks ago for an appt, on hold for 22 min, left message, no response; called next day, out on Fridays. Called falling wk, per their request got a referral and all paperwork sent to them from PCP; called to follow up, the doctor will decide by the following week if he wants to see me. Called the following wk, left a message, no response; called again, chart is on the doctor's desk; they will call when he makes a decision. Called later that week, chart hasn't been reviewed but will be before the day is over and I would definitely get a call by 5;00 p.m. None received.

Dr. Cirullo is either over-worked or simply just doesn't care about anything other than diabetes care. He rushed and only did part of a diagnostic lab, and then ignored me and caused me to think nothing was wrong for 5 years until I found a great Dr. who said I should never have ignored clear endocrin issues. He has quite a reputation for this among other doctors in the state...I'm not the first patient he's treated this way. Callus, and quite frankly unless you have diabetes he shouldn't be allowed to treat any other endocrin issues as he did me more harm than good!

Pros: Dr. Cirullo had examined past lab work, made notes, and was overall prepared for my visit. I felt he genuinely listened to me and offered knowledgeable information. Also, the woman who made my appointment and handled my referral was absolutely wonderful and personable. Cons: The follow up was severely lacking. When I received a voice mail message regarding the results of my most recent lab results, I needed further clarification. When I called for that, the office kept referring me to his assistant who is virtually impossible to get in touch with. When I finally received a voice mail message back from her after-hours a couple of days later, she told me she would call me back again to follow up the next day. A week later, she had not followed through - No phone call was received. I called back and left a couple more messages on various days following, practically begging her to call me for clarification on my lab results. As of now, two weeks after my first… inquiry, no return call has been received from Dr. Cirullo's assistant regarding my questions, despite the number of message I have left for her. As a result, I will need to get further lab work done from my primary care physician's office so that I may obtain a full lab report and speak with COMPETENT people about those results. It's really a shame that a great doctor has such a poor quality assistant who will not follow up with patients. She is the main reason why I gave lower scores, as this has become an extremely frustrating and time-wasting experience.

He is terribly unfriendly and has a nasty bedside manner.
