Dr Hofflander is a very professional general surgeon. I’ve had 3 surgeries with him, and would go back.

From the Front Desk staff (Laura and Crystal) and my initial appointment with Dr. Hofflander, and then the surgery..... I can't thank you all enough for your professionalism, guidance, genuine nature, and care. You made my surgery a breeze. After the surgery my caretaker told me she was not even able to tell I had surgery. Minimal pain, minimal incisions, and a tiny bruise. Now I think that is AMAZING! You are the best Doctor Hofflander!!!!! You are Outstanding in your profession and I can't thank you enough.

I was recommended by my Doctor for this Doctor for a double hernia repair. I thought I would need some type of mesh to strengthen the area in my stomach where the largest hernia was but Dr. H said afterwards that he didn't have to use any, much to my surprise and delight! Its been almost 2 years now and my tummy is flat and tight! Very happy with my results! Thanks Dr. Hofflander! ?? I definitely recommend him!

I recently had hernia surgery performed by Dr. HOFFLANDER and the total experience from beginning to end was perfect. He explained everything in detail before and after. His staff went the extra step for me to make the arrangements and to help me after the procedure. I work in healthcare so I can be very meticulous in what I consider superior care.

Dr. Hofflander is a surgeon who only performs the bare minimum that money can buy. I had gallbladder removal surgery about a week ago and when I woke up from surgery there was no communication given as to how the procedure went and what was found. I was in horrific pain and extreme nausea and I asked the nurse to speak to the surgeon and she said that he had already gone home immediately after he was done with surgery. I was told that my husband would be contacted right after the procedure and that he could speak to Dr. Hofflander. This did not happen and the entire staff at Sunrise Hospital was very rude and condescending about the whole situation. I went for my follow-up appointment a week later and asked about how the procedure went and what he had found with my gallbladder during the operation. He had no clue and could not answer my questions. He just said “I can’t remember.” He had virtually nothing to say and had no information to give me about my own surgery that he performed!… Well, glad to know that I spent money to have surgery performed by an absolute incompetent surgeon who is clearly uninvolved and uncaring about his patient’s health. He is clearly only in it for profit.

I was referred to Dr. Hofflander, to perform Gallbladder surgery; I received an appointment within a reasonable time from the time of my referral. The office staff was friendly and provided the appointment taking in consideration my scheduling requirements. When I met Dr. "H" I felt lucky to have a surgeon that took the time to explain the procedure and to answer all my questions. The procedure was successfully completed. Dr. H is a top medical doctor based upon both his office and bedsdie manner and his surgical expertise. Office staff reflects his personality of truly caring for his patients. Pre surgery spends as much time as necessary answering questions and explaning the procedure. Post op is the same caring attitude. Timeframe was Spring 2014. When I needed a surgeon, three nurses provided strong recommendations.

Recently has a right colectomy. Dr Hofflander's expertise and knowledge put me at ease prior to surgery and I knew I was in good hands. He is very professional, personable and caring and answered all my questions. He will be highly recommended in the future to anyone I know looking for a surgeon.
