Dr Rames was able to diagnose a bladder issue that other urologist were unable to diagnose. I was fine with his bedside manner. He is a physician. Not a personal friend. His treatment eliminated my issues.

There is no doubt in my mind that Dr Rames saved my husband’s life by sending him to the emergency room during an office visit. He was treated under Dr Rames for 8 weeks and was very clear in explaining to both of us what was happening. I highly recommend him.

He patronized me during our interview, and offered me valium three times. Thanks to him I skipped urology for 3 years and ended up with metastatic cancer.

He is very thorough and took a lot of time explaining how a doctor at another hospital in Charleston screwed up a painful test that he had to redo. He outlined all the options and we agreed to the proper surgery. He is friendly with little bedside manner. However, I was more concerned about his knowledge compared to his bedside manner

Dr Rames has always addressed my problems and concerns in a caring and professional manner. He has been my urologist for over ten years. I believe he stays abreast of current studies and treatments better than most doctors.

I wish I would have read the other reviews before I made an appt to se Dr. Rames. I also was not examined for the issue I came in for- he looked in my throat and checked my reflexes- but never put me in a gown or examined me even though I came in with pain that is affecting my quality of life. I was chastised for "running my own treatment" up until now- and felt judged. His bedside manner is nonexistent- I cried in the parking lot after this appointment and will NEVER see this Dr again.

Dr Rames appears to be knowledgeable in the areas that he has experience. He reacts quite territorial if you have questions or concerns for your own symptoms. He has a difficult bedside manner if you are proactive in your approach to your own health. Healthcare should be a team approach including the patient not a challenge.

I drove 4 hours for a consultation with this MD and I never even removed my clothing and was put in a gown.This doctor is way overated and was a huge waste of my time.
