Horrible and rude staff! Getting an appointment is impossible. Will never go back to this office or deal with these incompetent people again. I will be reporting them!

He's been my family doctor since 1984

I am a pharmacist & I have been going to Dr Gross for about 18 years. I have the other members in my family seeing him also. It is hard to see him sometimes because everyone wants to see HIM. He can only see so many patients a day. Yes, some of his staff are not the most friendly people, but they are courteous. They seem to be very busy. They are not sitting around chatting, or on the phone. I am not going to see him because it is fast, convenient or friendly, I am going because of the quality of health care I receive. I have also waited an hour for an appointment, but sometimes I only wait 10-15 minutes. I always bring a book or something with me. Here is the reason he keeps you waiting. Once you see Dr Gross he will spend as much time with you as necessary. You are NEVER rushed & he will answer any questions you may have. If you are the 10th person with an appointment, and every person keeps him just an extra 5 minutes, that's a 45 minute delay! He is very approachable. and… extremely knowledgeable. He has called me at 10PM with test results because he is still at his office, working. At an appointment one day I asked him if he could recommend a cardiologist for my Mom in North NJ. She is not his patient, but he asked what insurance she had, then looked up the list of physicians in her plan. That's the kind of doctor I want, I don't really need a happy smile from his receptionist.

I have Ben treated by many physicians over the years..many different specialties... Find that I compare all to dr gross. He is a wonderful diagnostician he is conservative in his treatment and really knows his patients. Several of my family members see him as well. As previously said by other reviewers, there has been a consistent issue with his unkind reception staff. "Sourpuss" is the word that comes to mind. Telephone contact with his staff is just as horrible. Once you make it into the treatment area you are greeted by nice nurses.... Dr gross is definitely worth the wait and undesirable staff!!

Very good doctor but can't keep a schedule and no one in the office can be bothered to let you know, even if you ask, that he's running late. The front desk staff at the Medical Health Center in Middletown goes out of their way to ignore everyone coming into the office and they're unfriendly--to put it mildly--if you ask about your appointment time. They blame the doctor for running late, and when you ask the doctor he blames the assistants for not letting you know that he's running behind schedule. I don't know who is at fault, but after four years it's not worth the aggravation anymore. (This year I left the office after waiting for 45 minutes beyond my appointment time; last year it was over an hour.) You'll get very good medical care if you actually get to see Dr. Gross, but good luck with the long wait and the distant, nasty front desk staff.

Dr. Gross is how all Doctors should be. He is considerate and calm. He never rushes through an examination. He is extremely thorough.He has always be easy to contact. And he always returns our calls.He even visited me in the hospital and in re-hab, when he wasn't the doctor who performed the surgery.Dr. Gross is how all doctors should be, but aren't unfortunatelly.

dr. gross is the best but it is very hard to get an appointmet with him. his staff should take a lesson from him on who to treat people.
