treated like i was lying when i showed up in 6 weeks for a blood test my thyroid function. receptionist did not realize the staff pulled the wrong chart. accused me of lying when she wrote the appointment card. also, if you miss an appointment you are penalized and can't make an appointment, but must call ahead yo see if they will take you enen though you have been fasting all night. would never ever use this office again!

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1985 and after going through endocrinologist after endocrinologist, a referral lead me to Dr. D'Ambra in 1993. I have had near perfect control of my glycemic levels since starting under his care with my HbA1c coming in well below every quarterly appointment but one, and that was due to my feelings of invincibility.Once you enter the office of the New Hyde Park Diabetes and Endocrine Associates (NSDEA for short), you check in and bring your chart to the sign in window, unless there was some sort of problem, they'll call you in to measure your body weight and take you to an examination room. The nurse will enter the prescriptions you need into the computer and Dr. D will be in shortly thereafter. Take a tremendous step forward in the care of your endocrine disorder and call NSDEA AT (516) 327-0850 to make an appointment today!

Dr. Russell D'Ambra is truly a caring professional. For 14 years he has been understanding, nonjudgemental, and not only a fine qualified professional, but a wonderful human being. He has always made me feel comfortable and confident in my treatment. He is very knowledgeable and respectful of his patients. He listens and discusses options. He devotes time to making certain that all my concerns are addressed.I highly recommend him and cannot praise his dedication enough.
