Dr. Russell Philip Ford, MD

I recently had general surgery, and Dr. Ford was my anesthesiologist. He was very rude and unnecessarily unkind. He spoke to me in a very condescending way, as if I were far less intelligent than him and too simple minded to understand what he was telling me.He would not fully listen to my concerns but instead forced me to take medication I had had an adverse reaction to. He told me the issue was my anxiety, not the medication, and he did so in a way that was almost hostile vice kindly explained. It is extremely important for medical staff to show gentleness and care in these situations as they are so extraordinarily stressful. I pray I never have the displeasure of dealing with him again. I am grateful my nurse anesthetist was amazing, and my interaction with Dr. Ford was limited to one conversation. Do not recommend using him if given a choice.
