My twin sister and I had the Vertical Band (VBG)in 2000. She came from Alaska to have it done. We both love Dr Hanan and his office staff. They have been great. I even went from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma have a procedure last year when no one else could figure what was going on. I am a perfect weight now and feel great. I wish I had the VBG 20 yrs ago. I hope he never retires because he is my surgeon now! His staff helped find lodging and are always very friendly. Dr Hanan takes plenty of time to answer any questions. He has been doing the procedure for a long time. Four others in my family had different gastric bypass procedures with different doctors and not as much success for them. Some are gaining their weight back. I would do it again in a minute and so would my sister.

Referred by primary care. Contacted office, spoke to Peggy to verify procedure was indeed covered. Assured me that it wasn't . Called ins co back they said it was. Called Dr. office back Peggy gave me CPT Code, assured me again that it was not covered. Called inscompany again, YES IT IS!! Called Dr's office again told her again & asked if she would call ins. co. WOULD NOT!! Told me I could get a referral but my chances of procedure being covered were 0!!I called my ins co back asked for supervisor, they put me on hold & called Dr Hanan's office. Assured Peggy it is covered. Peggy was rude to her as well!! Suggested I could make an appt if I'd likeNEVER, NO WAY, NO HOW!! The Dr has to know how ridiculous his help is. I'd never go under his knife!!!

I had the best care from dr hanan that anyone could have, he took care of the biggest problem i had and i thank god for him, i will never ever forget him, he was just heaven sent.

I have had Dr. Hanan as a physican since 1982 when he preformed a bariatic surgery on me. He has also been the one and only doctor I depend on even though I now live severals states away. He is by far one of if not the best doctors anywhere

I, along with 4 other family members received Vertical Banded Gastroplasty by Dr. Hanan; and he was great! Very nice and personable.
