Dr. Ruth Fainberg Lesnewski, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Ruth Lesnewski since 1992. She is the best. Always takes the time to talk to me and answer my questions regarding my health. She's been there for me for many years. However, I had to move to Sioux Falls and obviously she is no longer my primary doctor. There's no doctor like her.

and she's been great the whole time.

Dr Lesnewski, was very easy to talk to, down to earth and empathetic. I am happy to say I have found my new Primary Care Doctor.

I thought she was great. Visited her once so far and she gets back to me promptly with answers to my questions since then.

Pros: pleasant demeanor. Cons: neglectful care. Came in with trouble breathing and difficulty walking. Did not do one thing to help. Extremely irresponsible and not sure how this person is a doctor.

I had no problems with getting my prescriptions transferred or getting a referral to a good specialist, but Dr. Lesnewski is very stuck in thinking that weight is a direct result of eating too much (even for those of us with health conditions known to cause weight gain) and treated me like I was lying when we talked about my diet and exercise habits. When I asked her for a referral to an endo, she initially tried to convince me to see a nutritionist, even though I've seen one in the recent past and had already told her that my food intake had not changed and my exercise actually increased. She's probably find if you're thin and have no major health issues, but her sensitivity around weight could use a lot of improvement.

Wait time was over 1.5 hours. Dr. listened but provided heavy personal opinion instead of medical fact. Felt like a hippie doctor approach.

Dr. Lesnewski is a great doctor. She's caring, compassionate, down to earth and knowledgeable. Of course there's a wait in the office but you'll find that with almost every doctor. Another great thing is that she responds quickly to emails and scheduling an appointment online is super easy.
