Dr. Ryan Ashley Stanton, MD

I am concerned about you sharing to the public that you think everyone should wear mask. If we had a tremendous surplus of mask that would be a reasonable request but we have a shortage of mask for our health care workers in Fayette Co. Outpatient clinics for instance have doctors that are testing there patients that are testing positive for the corona virus that do not have any N95 masks to wear. This also includes nurses, registration desk, and more medical staff.

If I could give a negative score I would. I feel it is inappropriate to even give it scores of "1"--negative scores would be more accurate. Worst ER experience of my life...the only good side is my condition required I be seen immediately as it was life-threatening. Dr. Stanton was cocky, arrogant, verbally intimidating and had on an EMS uniform instead of a doctor's coat. He didn't even have on a name tag and barely introduced himself, he acted as if one should recognize him immediately and seriously had a "God-complex". (I guess because he has done medical spots for local news stations.)Almost the entire staff (nurses, admitting receptionists, etc.) acted as if they hate their jobs (and I had to see at least 20-30 people over my time in the ER), and only one intern, one nursing assistant, and the CAT Scan guy smiled or were nice to me AT ALL. I would NEVER recommend this ER to anyone unless a complete and thorough overhaul is conducted, and/or if the staff were reprimanded and… corrected on their lack of professionalism. Finally, to top it all off, I ended up back in the ER (at a different hospital, thank goodness) the following week and had to stay for three days. I believe if things had been looked into sufficiently the first visit, I might never have had to go to the second ER and subsequently ended up having to be admitted.

The absolute most worthless doctor I have ever visited. He not only failed to introduce himself without any explanation he stated that he could not help me and I got a bill for $2,000.00. $2,000 for what?

My husband took me to Central Baptist Hospital when my fever of 103.63 was not responding to OTC medications. By the time I waited in the ER for 3 hours it had gone down. Dr. Ryan was the attending physician at Central Baptist that day in Janaury of 2014. Dr. Ryan's Physician's Assistant examined me and then a battery if tests were run. I explained my syptoms, which included: high fever, sweating, vomiting, and horrible coughing for the past 3 days. Dr. Ryan caually came into my room and explained that I had Sinusitis (a runny nose) and that I could possibly have Pertussis. He did not even listen to my lungs! He found the idea of me having Pertussis funny (he actually chuckled) because I would be coughing and runnig a fever for a while. Worse that sitting there miserable and sick and being told I was not, was his smarmy condescending bedside manner. The following day after awaking to a fever of 103.6 I went to my family physcian and was diagnosed with pneumonia. I recieved a bill… for $1800.00; $260.00 was his bill for his obsurd misdiagnosis. The next time someone in my family needs an ER I will call ahead and see if he is on duty and if he is we will go somewhwere else.

Dr. Stanton is a very compassionate physician. He took the needed time to question me as to my illness and actually listened. He was very caring and done an ultrasound bedside. I did not have to wait for ultrasound to come to the ER to get me nor go to another location within the facility, he done it right there and I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. He diagnosed me and made sure I would have the appropriate information to follow up with needed practitioners. During this time in the Emergency Room at Good Samaritan Hospital Dr. Stanton was very busy but treated me and all the others around me as if we were the only patients there, he was calm and level headed during a very chaotic time as it appeared. The Emergency Room was very busy however I did not wait more than 4 minutes to be seen by a triage nurse and soon after I was seeing the physician.
