Dr. Salvatore Lombardo, MD

I went to see him for a second opinion in his Lyndhurst office. My doctor suggested a Urolift< I wasn't sure if I needed it so I went to speak to him. He was much more helpful explaining to me how it was supposed to help me and how the procedure is done. The more we spoke the more I felt I might not need this. He asked me more questions and before I told him of my doubts, he told me he didn't think I needed a Urolift. I was surprised, it was like he read my mind. I was so grateful he said that before I mentioned anything. He was thoughtful and precise. I plan to keep seeing Dr. Lombardo going forward. So glad I found him, honest and to the point.

He took his time, I was not rushed, he was very thorough. Nice personality, spoke to me as an equal, tired of doctors who don't explain things. Went to him for a second opinion and was amazed at what a different experience from the other guy. I am sticking with Dr. Lombardo!

Extremely helpful and considerate doctor. Nothing like the doctor I had previously that sends in his assistants or nurse practitioner to see me. Dr. Lombardo was genuinely concerned with my situation, he was present throught out my consultation, I see him on all my follow up visits. He asks me questions and talks to me like a person, my last doctor never did any of that. He seemed to busy to be bothered with me. It is so hard to find a doctor you like and trust. He was in my plan and is not far from my house, A total win for me.

Excellent physician, I highly reccomend. Better than my last Urologist who would spend less than 3 minutes with me than have his staff do everything else.

Dr. Lombardo was a pleasant, thoughtful doctor who took the time to explain to me and husband why his PSA was always elevated. His last doctor had biopsied him 3 times and wanted to do it again. We wanted a second opinion. We both liked him more than his prior urologist, was very thorough. We weren't rushed and his office staff was very friendly. We will be seeing him from now on

I was told by a friend I should see this doctor. I've had ED for years, pills failed and nobody had ever talked to me about a prosthesis. He told me about a vacuum pump and injections, (No Way, NOT FOR ME!), and a penile prosthesis. I researched it and turns out Dr. Lombardo is one of the recommended surgeons by AMS, the company that makes them. I got an inflatable LGX and I LOVE IT! I wish I had done this years ago. My diabetes and high blood pressure medicines took there toll on my erection years ago but I had no idea something like this existed. My partner and I are so happy I got this done and Dr. Lombardo was great! It changed my life.

Very nice doctor. Has been caring for me for past 8 years. Always professional, explains things, has a nice bedside manner. I recommend him to family and friends.

My urologist stop accepting my insurance so I was forced to find another. I used my insurance companies' physician guide (BCBS) he was in my Omnia plan. I was worried as to who I would find bu Dr. Lombardo is a wondeful doctor. Took the time to explain things, was very pleasant. I never felt rushed and at the end of our visit he asked me if I had any questions about what we spoke about, I was floored, my other doctor could not get out of the room fast enough. I am glad my last urologist stop taking my insurance. I highly reccomend Dr. Lombardo.

He knows his stuff, I brought him pathology results and lab work and within 5 minutes he basically summarized my issues and gave me another perspective. Other doc I saw had steered me toward surgery or radiation, nobody mentioned to me the option of active surveillance. Turns out my other doc wants to radiate my cancer, but he never told me he owns the center he sent me to in Bloomfield. I see a terrible conflict of interest here. Why did nobody else tell me about just watching my cancer. I googled it and with my low grade disease, Dr. Lombard is RIGHT! I am watching it for now. God Bless this guy. he took the time to explain things to me.

This doctor only cares about the mighty $$$$. He lost my blood work twice, forgot what he prescribed me and wanted to operate on me unnecessary and forget about returning phone calls! I went for a second opinion, I was told that to operate was foolish. There was nothing wrong with me. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.
