I was admitted to the ER twice end of August 2012 for Kidney stones. Never had them. The ER M.D. made a call to this group to get me in ASAP. Surgery was scheduled within 3 days. The M.D. to do the procedure was not the M.D. that did the procedure. The M.D. who did the procedure "took" me as a client. He asked me questions and stopped in the middle, stating let me go look at your CT scan and X-Rays. His response was I'm glad I looked before the surgery because you need bilateral stints. If I didn't do the procedure, I would be back in the ER within 24 hours. Two weeks later, I am in the office Post-Op. Believing I was going to have the stents out, he immediately stated. "The stents are not coming out today, your stones are way too big." I remember you. Again, he takes a look at the X-rays from the hospital surgery. I asked him what "Too Big looked like.?" His reply, they weren't as big as he thought. Well, how do we know the stones haven't passed? During our consult he learned my insurance situation would be expiring at the end of the month. We both agreed the laser procedure would be more ideal. Today we scheduled the procedure for Friday this week. I just received a call pushing the procedure closer to the end of the month. I had to learn the laser was actually two procedures from his scheduler. His scheduler asked what procedure we were doing as well. Uh, I had the consult with the M.D. yesterday and we both agreed on laser, one time deal. Scared out of my mind and complete loss of confidence.!! Running to find another surgeon. Today is the 11th. How do I even know if I need surgery after the stents?
Highly remcommend Dr. Hakim, very good surgeant, understanding and we thank him for all he's done. God bless this Dr. for all wonders he's done for my dad.
I do not reccomend this dr to anyone. Bedside manner is horrible! He is very cocky and speaks to you like you're stupid! JERK! Waste of money!
