Dr. Sandra Althea Thompson, MD

My wife is out of her pain medicine and Thompson has NOT gotten it filled in a week. I went in and sat there for 2 hours, and she did nothing to help. Her staff at the Caldwell office were nice and placated me saying that they would send it to the pharmacy they did not. The secretary at the Boise office wouldn't even send the doctor a note to try and help. Stopping cold turkey on pain medicine is a very hard thing. I'm not wishing that torture on them, but it's hard watching someone go through that misery. It's hard to be lied to!

I will Highly Recomend Dr Sandra Thompson for pain management and I beleive she deserves a REWARD of Humanity, she cares and gives 100 percent to her patients. She saved my fathers leg, and Saved my Fathers Life,Sincerely Jammie Mittlestead

This woman has no solutions that do not involve medication. Additionally she gave my husband medication that landed him in the emergency room and didn't even follow up with him afterwards. The office staff are incompetent and I wonder if they are getting into the stash themselves. Since this is not my fist pain doctor, I know that competent doctors exist in Boise, but Sandra is not one of them.

She really listens to you & talks about your pain and how it affects all areas of your life. You are included with your treatment plan. You also get help with other pain issues like mental health, others who live with you & go thru it too. I wish I had not messed up my pain contract because she was one of the best physicians I've ever seen in the past 40 years. You need a referral from a doctor to see her but she is well worth the wait. Be an active part in ur healthcare!!!

Just got a Cortisone shot. Saw her for maybe 10 minutes total. Wait time was really long, more than an hour after scheduled appointment time.

Very compassionate, thoroughly explains procedures, and is one of best doctors I have ever had.

The Best Pain Management Dr I have seen. Very Compassionate and Caring Dr ever. She always.listens to my concerns and gets me referred to other doctors for my pain issues. If you want the Best Dr in Idaho make an appointment with her. I am very happy with Dr. Thompson and her staff. Never had to wait over 10 minutes for m6 appt with her.

Would never recommend this doctor, ever. Worst experience I've ever had in my 59 yrs of life. Cancelled surgery for pain pump -- placed in pain pump without medications -- pain pump was very poor -- prescribed huge amount of narcotics -- creating additional problems. Really can't believe she is licensed at all
