Indifferent attitude and cancellation of appointment without notification show details Indifferent attitude and cancellation of appointment without notification
Jul 15th, 2015

My mother's appointment 7/10, was cancelled without notification . We were called 7/8 and a reminder left on our answering machine. I called that morning to verify and was told she had a 1:40 appointment. My mother is 89 and struggles to walk. I was surprised when arriving that Dr. Payne was not in. The receptionist was indifferent and would not tell me when the appointment was cancelled. My mother was not given any special attention she was given an appointment 8/17 over a month out. I asked for an office manager -- none was in. I received the tel numbers for Alycis Yans, Practice Supervisor and Mgr. C Williams. I have left 4 messages over 4 days without a return call. Training is badly needed.

Poor experience and first impression show details Poor experience and first impression
by Norma Myers on Jul 2nd, 2015

My mother is in Assisted Living. Dr. Payne is the Dr. that was recommended because she comes into the facility. However she does not keep regular hours and even when she is scheduled to be on site, she often cancels. The one time my mother saw her, she re-prescribed all the same medicines without really checking whether they were needed or not. She then changed the timing of the medications and caused other complications. I'm looking for a new PCP that will put more effort in to the care of my mother

Sweet, caring. Even remembered our cat's name and said she was so sorry when our cat died. Always asks about previous issues or problems. Love her - excellent doctor!
