When I met Dr Kathula I had Stage 4 Large Cell B Hymphomia! I was given little hope! Dr Kathula was everything you would want at this moment in your life! He was honest and informative working with me through surgery then chemo! This year marks five years I have been in remission! I owe my life to this doctor he never gave up on me and never let me give up! I highly recommend Dr Kathula he is and exceptional physician.

My husband is being treated by Dr Kathula for renal carcinoma. Dr. Kathula gives us enough time to make us feel comfortable and answer all of our questions . He is very personable and knowledgeable. I would recommend Dr. Kathula without hesitation.

Dr. Kathula has treated my rare cancer for six years. He has gone above and beyond researching the best treatment options for me and is very vigilant to monitor my condition. At one time I was stable and wanted to change my six month CT scan to 12 months-thankfully he advised me to continue with the six month protocol. My cancer had metastasized during that 6 month time frame-had I not had that CT scan, my treatment would have been delayed for six months. He has and continues to take excellent care of me.

Excellent Dr. Has treated me for low iron and low hemoglobin and I personally feel great. Very caring and personable.

Same test every 3 months and chemo. My husband felt worse after the chemo was over. He had no quality of life this went on for 2 1/2 years! Transferred to Kettering Cancer Center and his new doctor diagnosed him with Mylodysplastic within 3 weeks and started him on treatment. Please don't waste your time or money on this terrible uncaring doctor!!!!

My father was treated by Dr. Kathula for throat cancer. Dr. Kathula was not personable, lacked professionalism, and was pessimistic about my father's treatment. I understand that cancer can be grim, however my family had received information Oncologist's from Miami Valley and Good Samaritan North that was optimistic. I'd like to share a story about one visit to see Dr. Kathula in particular. It was nearing Christmas and my father had arrived at the office after receiving chemo and radiation. Of course he did not feel well and was ready to leave as soon as we got to the office. There was a mix up on his blood work and my father had to wait to have his blood taken again. After about 30 minutes we made it to the room to see Dr. Kathula. We waited for another 45 minutes before the doctor came in. While we were asking the doctor questions his phone rang. I was understanding at first thinking it may have been an urgent situation that he needed to attend to. Dr. Kathula remained in the room… and due to the speaker volume I could hear that he was talking to the caller about purchasing a drum set. Not only did Dr. Kathula continue the call, but he stepped out leaving my father again. Dr. Kathula lacked compassion, professionalism, and overall bedside manner. If you are looking for a doctor that will keep you well informed and care for your loved one as they should be cared for Dr. Kathula is not it.

Dr. Kathula has provided excellent care; and his nurse Sheila has been very prompt and reliable to get back to us when we have questions. It is important to us is that Dr. Kathula has been very receptive to working with drs. from Cleveland Clinic and OSU in consultation. We would highly recommend him.
