Dr. Danish gave me my life back. He spent time to explain and was very responsive to my questions. The DBS surgery was very successful and I thank Dr. Danish and his team for their skills.
Dr. Danish literally changed my father's life with DBS surgery. Joan helped us with everything we needed and Dr. Hargraves is always helpful. We will be eternally grateful.
At 21 years old I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, after meeting with 4 neurosurgeons I met with Dr. Danish , and knew instantly he was the surgeon I trusted enough to remove my tumor. Very honest about every thing. Tells you like it is, doesn't sugar coat, and explains in terms you can understand. I had a flawless surgery may of 2013, with out any complications.. Three years post op, and I still keep in contact with Dr. Danish for follow ups and MRIS. Dr Danish is very quick to respond, very thorough with every aspect, treats you as if you're his own family. I have reccomended him to many patients, all are thrilled with his services. Active in the brain tumor community, amazing man! Amazing surgeon!
Superior surgeon. Husband diagnosed with brain tumor. Dr. Danish saved his life.
While I appreciated being squeezed into his very hectic schedule, I was in disbelief that this was the doctor who I had read about being voted Patients Choice 5 years in a row and was described as being compassionate. While I was more than prepared for this appointment, he didn't belief that the MRI's I had were clear enough, yet never offered to have them done again to get a clearer picture of the spine issue that has been destroying my life for years without me knowing it until recently. Because he had only experienced the problem in my spine one time before, he didn't "believe" that this was the cause of my issues. No exam, no MRI, no investigating, thus leaving me with no hope since he came highly recommended as THE doctor to see. In his defense, all I can say is that after months of suffering trying to find a neurosurgeon who is available & compassionate, I see that there is no such thing. It's sad that I'll probably end up permanently disabled while I wait for a correct diagnosis and treatment.
I suffered with back pain and trouble walking for years. Dr. Danish diagnosed the problem and performed surgery. I can now live a normal life again. I am so grateful for Dr. Danish. He is a superior neurosurgeon and kind and caring.
Dr. Danish is amazing! Diagnosis was completely accurate however, he had me go through a period of time of tracking my symptoms to ensure the surgery would be the best way for me to go. I was so impressed by him answering my questions I had when I emailed him and his office. This professional nureo surgeon answered me when he was on his vacation. It has been a month from my surgery and I am still healing as expected however, the symptoms I was experiencing before the surgery have gone away. I Thank You Dr. Danish
I honestly do not remember my waiting time. ;) However I thank God everyday for Dr Danish & all his staff. Dr Danish did lazor brain surgery on me a year ago for my epilepsy. I've come so far since then & I just can't thank him enough! He's such a nice person in general & a truely amazing & gifted surgeon/dr!
I thank God every day for Dr Danish! I was told by so many others throughout my life that surgery was not an option for me. (epilepsy). For so many reasons Dr Danish knew otherwise. =) It didn't take long for me to have the feeling of comfort & safety just knowing he had "the tools". And also faith. Not just in the Lord. I had faith in Dr Danish! Thank you so much again Dr ! All my best to you and yours!!! P.S. If people know me... They know you as well.
Dr Danish has removed a brain tumor and performed gamma knife two times for me. He is a gifted compassionate doctor who can think out of the box and is supported by a wonderful staff. I am continuing to enjoy my life thanks to the work and dedication of Dr. Danish and his team.
Dr.Danish and h is entire staff was knowledgeable professional, and friendly. they made me feel safe and in good hands and the outcome off the surgery was successful. i recommend this doctor and h is team highly. ,
I had a vp-shunt and surgery was performed on me at another hospital, the surgery went bad and they had to transfer me to Robert Wood were Dr. Danish was the receiving Neuro- surgeon, when I arrived I could not talk, walk or anything, the next morning Dr. Danish performed surgery to replace and fix the shunt that was currently placed incorrectly, ,,, according to my Mom Dr. Danish was very kind, he came out and gave her his Business Card,,,,, he told my mom he was not excepting me to recover quickly only because the timing that i was left untreated at the other hospital... it was a horrible experience, at the other hospital... My moms and I faith is very strong so we no that God sent me to Dr. Danish thank you Dr. Danish know I have my new shunt and I am able to talk, eat and move about ..if it was not for you I would not be here.
Dr. Danish was my primary neurosurgeon when I had my aneurysm 6 years ago. He gave an honest assessment of my condition and he didn't make any guarantees for my recovery. My mom and I told him that I would be fine because of our faith in God. After the surgery he looked for my mom to let her know that she was right. He told us that he took every precaution possible to avoid having to give me a blood transfusion and I didn't end up needing it. He also told my mom that he would care for me like I was his own daughter. My mom really appreciated his kind words. He was very caring and friendly. He answered all of our questions. I followed up with him for 5 years after my surgery. The receptionist were always friendly and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a neurosurgeon.
Dr Danish is a wonderful doctor. My dad wasn't able to walk and he had a brain tumor. Dr Danish diagnosed his condition promptly and he took this matter seriously. He made him very comfortable after surgery and helped him in faster recovery. Dr Danish is not only a great surgeon but also a great human being. He and his staff are very friendly and courteous. They rounded on my dad regularly when he was recovering from surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Danish.
Thanks to DR Danish and DR Atif Khan they are my God sent angels . I was diagnose with a menigioma inside the back of my brain . I was suppose to under a big brain surgrey but these doctors took care of me by performing a Gamma Knife procedure into my brain which is less invasive and no long term complcations . . Thank you and God bless you ; you the best
First, the doctor listened very carefully to my problems and what I wanted to achieve. He and his excellent staff did a fine job. They have solved my problem and gotten me back on my feet quickly. They always called me back if they were not immediately available and answered all questions. I would recommend this doctor to anyone.
I was admitted through the emergency room and had no prior knowledge of Dr. Shabbar. I was in incredible pain, evaluated and admitted. Surgery was performed at the ungodly hour of 12:30 AM. I awakened pain free from my prior symptoms. Care in the hospital was excellent. I am gradually regaining use of my left leg through therapy. Without this surgery at that specific time I would have lost the use of my left leg permanently.. Kudos for correct diagnosis and treatment.
One of the greatest doctors I have ever met. He not only did brain surgery for cancer on my son, he saved his life. Very professional and his bed side manner is outstanding. Keeps us up to date on all tests performed and very honest with the prognosis of my sons cancer. Would not recommend anyone else to do this kind of surgery but Dr. Danish, the BEST
Dr. Danish treated me with the upmost respect and was extremely sensitive to a very painful and emotional disease. He spent the time listening to me and explaining the options available. I was very apprehensive having this invasive surgery performed but felt at ease when I saw this surgeon enter the room. Today I'm pain free and enjoying life again.
Dr. Danish operated on my father. The surgery did not go well and he barely spoke to the family about his condition. Even after the follow up visit and numerous hospitalizations my father had for the next year after the surgery we never heard from him even when we begged for him to see my father after a seizure. If the surgery doesn't go well he doesn't care.
Dr. Danish is one of the best doctors in the field of neurology. When I first started seeing him at the beginning of this year (2013), I knew I had the right doctor working on my case. He is very warm, friendly, patient, and takes his time explaining the technical terms as it pertains to meningiomas. I felt very comfortable with him as my doctor. He has wonderful expertise in this area. In fact, I don't think I would be wrong by saying he is the best doctor in this field in my personal opinion. When he explained to me that in his professional opinion surgery was necessary for me, I was alright with that because I knew he would not steer me in the wrong direction. I thank God for him and his staff for their kindness and what they have done for me. My surgery was on a Tuesday, he discharged me from the hospital two days later on Thursday. I have been doing fabulously thanks to Dr. Danish. I just went to see him for my post-op appointment two weeks after the surgery. Everything is going extremely well. Thank God for Dr. Danish. If you are looking for the best in the field of neurology, go see Dr. Danish. He is the best!
My overall experience with Dr. Danish is pleasant. The staff is easy to deal with and Kathy is great. I'm happy with the services provided so far and it's worth the drive. I've dealt with my share of doctors and he is major in this field and I wouldn't change doctors at this point.
From the first time I met Dr Danish, I felt very comfortable, and trusted him immediately. Using Laser Ablation, Dr Danish saved me from having to have open brain surgery. Spending 1 night in the hospital is amazing in itself after any type of brain surgery. He explained every step in the procedure, answered every question, and responded immediately to emails or phone calls from me or my husband. I have never come across any doctor who does that. Dr Danish has the knowledge and skill that I needed at just the right time. I am very fortunate to have him in my corner. His staff, Joan and Cathy are just as incredible. They are always accessible, and respond immediately to anything you may need. I would like to thank them all. They made this whole process easier on me and my family.
I have always believed that everything happens for a reason (i.e., I do not believe in "coincidences"). When the increase in the size of the tumor on my brain was first reported on the MRI, my neurologist actually referred me to a different doctor. I had two appointments scheduled with that doctor, BOTH being canceled at the last minute (literally, because it was within two hours of my appointment time), because he had emergency surgeries. So, the frustration with that doctor is what forced me to find a new doctor (because I was not trying to be "emergency surgery #3" with the other doctor). So, I prayed about it, and asked God to direct me to the doctor that HE wanted me to see ... And that is when I found Dr. Danish. With the other doctor, I had already told myself that I would get a "second opinion" with whatever treatment he recommended. But, when I met Dr. Danish, I knew that whatever HE said was going to be the FINAL day. Yes, that is just how comfortable I was with him. He had just the right dose of "healthy swag", without being "arrogant". :-) I just had such a good feeling about him. I knew that he knew exactly what he was talking about; furthermore, I felt 100% confident that he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. And moreover, he was surrounded by excellence, because his nurse, Cathy, is such a sweetheart ... and the coordinator and nurse at the gamma knife center, Ben (Pritesh Benjamin), was SUPER! On the day of my procedure, everything went EXACTLY as I had been told it would go. There were no surprises at all, and I experienced no PAIN at all. Although I was sedated, I did feel a bit of the pressure from their attaching the head frame ... but, they also told me that I may, so it did not freak me out when I did. They went above and beyond to make me feel so comfortable ... both me and my sister (who was with me). And Joan (the office assistant) was a real sweetheart, too. The radiation oncology nurse who worked with Ben, Marilyn, was wonderful, as well. I am actually writing this review on the day following my procedure, and I feel just fine. I decided to continue the Tylenol throughout the day yesterday, "just in case"; but, today, I am fine and do not plan on taking any. I do have a little bit of swelling on my forehead, as well as some tenderness in the areas where the pins were located ... which should be expected (after all, it was "attached" pretty tightly to my head, not "taped"!) But, it is nothing that comes even comes close to resembling "pain". And I just got off the phone with Cathy (Dr. Danish's nurse), who reminded me to drink lots of fluids today, to wash all of the medication out of my system, which would help with the light-headed. So, I hope that this review helps the person who is reading it ... because if you are looking for a phenomenal neurosurgeon, your search should stop right here, because I honestly cannot believe there is a better "team" out there than this one ... and teamwork, makes the DREAM work. :-)
so glad I found his site and spoke to his nurse Neal Butler who explained everything to me about my options. His receptionist Kathy was a sweetheart too and Joan Glen always got back to you through emails wonderful....I had previously had gamma knife on a brain lesion/neoplasm and was considering surgury as the gamma knife didn't work.I had the laser procedure and it was great ..no recoup time really minimal incision laser direct into tumor and burnt it awesome. no headache or anything just no driving for 2 weeks was only drawback for me but surgery would have been 3 weeks plus I'm very pleased
Our daughter had a very bad accident in 2010 and we are so thankful to have Dr. Danish in our lives. He saved our little girl!
Dr. Shabbar has established himself as a super human next to GOD, giving me a new life, reason to live and hope. What else can a sick person ask for?
Dr. Danish is one of the leading Neurosurgeon in the area with a lot of research and experience with spine and brain surgery. Many people speak very highly about him. He is spot on and would give the patients the best guidance. He is very favorable to minimum incision when it comes to surgery. Also, he is a great human being.
Dr Shabbar Danish is one of the best Doctors, he cares about his patients, and feels their pain, whenever he's unavailable he makes sure that someone is there to answer the patients' need.
Dr Shabbar Danish diagnosed a right brain menengioma in my wife. The tennis ball size tumor had grown undetected for years until a crippling headache surfaced.Dr Danish is a gifted surgeon who saved my wife's life. His attention prior to surgery, during surgery and post surgery is inspiring. Dr. Danish has shown us compassion throughout our ordeal. When we have questions, he immediately responds to emails with a response whether it be through an email or phone call. This is comforting to us as Donna, wife, mother, daughter and friend recovers from this traumatic injury.Dr. Danish answers phone calls even when he was on holiday! Information on what he has done, what we can expect and MRI/CAT Scan comparisons was given without asking. We were blessed to have Dr. Danish as our Neuro-Surgeon. His after care response has also been incredible. We appreciate his concern; his diligence with ICU staff on follow up care and even current communication with our Physiatrists remains constant. We highly recommend Dr Danish as a Neuro-Surgeon and as a person who cares.Thank you again Dr Danish. Your gifted hands, empathy and compassion will always be remembered.
Dr. Danish diagnosed and completed surgery within a relatively short period of time for a rare(1 in 100,000) medical condition with great success!Although the surgery was completed almost nine months ago, he never hesitates to answer any questions that may occur at ANY time!
Excellent surgeon, knows what needs to be done, and does it. Very encouraging and positive.
