Dr. Shamla Ramanathan Kalyan, MD

Although Dr. Kalyan Shamla is very nice, her office staff is unprofessional and rude. Although doctors get behind and a short wait is acceptable, over an hour without prior warning is not. Nor is getting rude with someone asking or allowing a patient that had an appointment scheduled after another to bees first. That is what scheduling is for. Patients being seen also have a day and schedule and thier time matters as much as any doctors. To think otherwise is arrogance. When asked about the wait time and why another patient who verbally stated his appointment was after my mother's was seen first she tried to lie and say he was not scheduled after (again this person verbally stated it) and then under her breath made a comment to the affect that I should not mess with her. Another patient heard it and made a comment to me. She then told me to put on a mask (not required in the office) and when I comment she implied I would spit on her. Very rude and unprofessional. I liked the doctor,… my mom liked the doctor, but the staff is a representative of the doctor. Patients are there because they are ill. They do not need a rude ans hostile person making it worse. As a professional myself I could not imagine thinking the individuals I serves time is less valuable than mine or allowing the person they first see and represents me to act the way this staff did. If you don't mind a rude stafff, the doctor is very kind and knowledgeable.

I had Necrotizing Facetious and almost lost my life..My surgeon and Dr Kalyan save my life and my leg. She's a wonderful caring Dr whos gifted with knowledge and skilled hands. After 6months of healing she has released me from her care. I will miss her. She will forever remain in my heart. I thank god everyday for her. I am truly blessed.
