Dr. Shazia Zafar, MD

Worst doctor I have ever gone to. I left in tears on multiple occasions. I felt like a number, not a patient. She was more interested in taking notes during our visit rather than listening to me and allowing me to ask questions. She sent me to do repeat scans and my insurance company denied my claim because her office would not send the results from the previous scans. I had to call her office and try to connect them with my insurance company over several weeks. Still no files sent to my insurance company. So my tests were denied. When I went back to her office, she told me that it was my fault my tests were denied. CRAZY. I called the insurance company and made them tell her directly that they needed information from her staff. She walked out of our appointment without answering any of my medical questions and had her staff tell me to wait for her in the waiting room. She never got back to me…. Needless to say, I am never ever going back to that office. So disgraceful of a… doctor dealing with patients with serious medical conditions. Such disdain and lack of compassion. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Dr. Zafar is beyond excellent. I have learned more about my disease from her than anyone else. I have been her patient for over 15 years, even when I moved away from Pembroke Pines, tried another doctor closer to me, I came back. She monitors my blood counts religiously and has kept me out of the hospital for a very long time. Her staff is second to none. They are friendly and very competent. Never a problem to call in. No long hold times and no long appointment waiting times either. I am moving out of state and hope I can find a Hematologist as good as her because the commute would be much too long this time. I will miss her and the staff like crazy!!!

Excellent office staff and Doctor is the Best and She explains well and spend time with her patients.
