Dr. Sheena Cas Apun, MD

Asked for weeks to see if my immunization records were there (so I can register for classes) front desk told me takes 5-7 business days, ok fine, call back weeks later and several times, states they have no record of this request from me. Very unprofessional and told me it is very busy there and they will get to it when they get to it. (I work in very busy doctor office as well, supposed to document date and time of patient’s request). Very rude as well. Hopefully this review helps the front desk become more professional and know what to do when a patient calls... DOCUMENT.

I am writing this is response to a persons comment of "rude staff" this is farthest from the reality. My twins have only been to Dr. Apuns office, the staff is courteous and friendly and a joy to deal with. I have been raised in and my family is currently in the medical field. The care that they exhibit is top notch and I can't say enough about them. Many occasion I have had to rush one of my two twins in, they get me in immediately and are always understanding.

You see students, who don't know what they are doing. They don't know your child's name, age, history, or what shots they need either, this is after being a patient for many year here. Ex. of incompetence- Girl was checking my daughter's hearing didn't notice that my daughter never raised her hand for any beeps because she was helping the other nursing student log on to the lap top. Only concerned with squeezing as many patients in as possible. Leaves the door opened when examining teenage girls private areas and when asking private questions. It has gotten to be the worst doctor office I have ever been to. It used to be much better. Women behind the desk are rude and never have your child's school medical's ready when they say they will. You will always have to wait even though they say they are ready to be picked up. I would rather take my children to urgent care until I find a new doctor.

Highly recommended. Her practice grew so large because she's great! She hired a PA to help her . I come with Lots of questions and she always answers them all. I refer everyone to her.

She takes so many patients , running from one room to the other like maniac, didn't even have 5 min to talk to me, to answer on my questions. The only thing that she was carring about were vaccines and giving like 4 or 5 at one visit. Never ever again want to deal with her!

I absolutely adore Dr.Apun. She is the one doctor who I trust my 2 children with. She is caring, professional and calls to make sure everything is ok after a sick visit. I can ALWAYS get her on her cell phone, which is rare with other docs. Her staff however, is HORRIBLE. Rude, obnoxious and UNcaring. The complete opposite of Dr.Apun. I know 2 friends of mine who have changed docs because of the staff! They act as if you are BOTHERING them. If I didn't like Dr.Apun so very much, I would never go there again.

Dr. Apun is the best pediatrician. She works very hard as a solo practitioner and even harder at home with her twin boys. She also teaches physician assistants. She makes sure she answers all your questions before leaving the office and is always available after hours by her cell phone.

After our first appointment with Dr. Apun we had a great first impression. She was caring, professional, and encouraged us to call with any questions. However, after a few months of well visits our opinion has changed. Her office staff can be unprofessional. They have entered the exam room while using their personal cell phone. The wait can be extremely long even when you have scheduled the first appointment. While Dr. Apun visits with you and your child she does not shut the door to the room. She has a small office so everyone inside can hear what is discussed. She does not introduce her student observer and never asks if you are comfortable with them staying during your appointment.
