Have you seen Dr. Simon Hambidge?
March 4th, 2013Very poor experience
Saw Dr Hambidge for the first & last time at Denver Health Pediatric Urgent Care. Brought our young daughter in for ongoing stomach pain since the GI specialist cannot see her for a month. Our PCP recommended taking her to urgent care, so we did. First a female Dr saw her, felt her stomach, asked a few questions suggested a different medicine & left the room to get "approval" for the meds. Came back with Dr Hambidge, he suggested we need to quit "medicalizing" the situation. That our 8 year old who's been in crying stomach pain is "mentalizing" it. And this is without any tests, no blood tests, ultrasounds, mri's NOTHING. She'll see the specialist on the 25th, in the mean time we were really seeking some relief for our little girl and all we got was an assumption that she's "mentalizing" it making her own stomach hurt. Pretty amazing a pediatrician can come up with that with no tests whatsoever. Ill put a review again after the specialist as I know my child and I know she's in pain.
