Dr. Soheila Boyer, DO

Refused to see me. Later went to the ER where I miscarried on the floor trying to see theOB team. Next few days wasn’t feeling well and called to see if I could be checked. Receptionist told me to call back first thing in the morning. Called the next day to try to get in on a same day appointment. Staff told me to go the ER. Never called to check on me for any reason. She will make you feel like she would go out of her way for you, but unfortunately not true. Filed a complaint with the hospital and followed up on my own a month later. Was never contacted again. She’s a joke

This woman was awful to me, and inexplicably. I was only 18, and I was having horrible issues with my cycle (constantly in pain, irregular bleeding, cramping so severe I’d vomit, etc.). I went to her for help because the problems were interfering with normal life. What does she do? Puts me on birth control, which I told her I wanted to stop taking after 4 weeks, because I was rapidly gaining weight and constantly bloated. Her response, “You’re gaining weight because you’re eating more- birth control doesn’t cause weight gain.” I was stunned (I hadn’t been eating more since starting the birth control). She then put me on a second birth control, which also didn’t help, and in fact, caused my cycle to go even more haywire. The final straw was when I went in for a follow-up appointment and 2nd Pap smear that the doctor’s office had rescheduled not once, but twice, and while sitting in the waiting room, I had started my period. I did not realize until this had happened until I was changing… into the gown for the Pap smear. When the doctor came in, I was nearly in tears, because I was so frustrated that this had happened (mostly because the office rescheduled twice, but also because the birth control this doctor put me on was worsening the original problem). I tried not to cry and explained to the doctor that I had just started my period. SHE ROLLED HER EYES AT ME, said, “Well, I’m not doing a Pap smear on you today, then- why would you schedule an appointment if you knew you were going to be on your period?!” Remember: I was there due to IRREGULAR PERIODS! And my original appointment (before it was cancelled TWICE) wasn’t scheduled for anywhere near what I figured would be the approximate start of my period. I literally sat there and tried not to cry, as this doctor shook her head disapprovingly and told me, “Well, you should’ve known better than to schedule while you’re like this, so we will have to bill you for this appointment. Reschedule with the front desk”, before walking out of the room. I burst into tears, got dressed, practically ran to my car and never, ever saw this doctor again. The memory of that experience was traumatizing. I truly hope no woman has to go through anything like this with a medical professional. There are much better doctors out there.

This doctor is very rude and has terrible bedside manner. I almost picked this specific doctor when I found out I was pregnant until I saw how she acts behind the scenes and how she treats others. She tends to be very cocky and rude with anyone that comes toward her. I do not recommend choosing her. She would be my LAST choice!

Dr. Boyer was on call during my appointment. Because she was called into to delivery she asked if I wanted to wait, go somewhere and her office would call me back, or rescheduled. She listened and was very concerned.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Boyer!! First seen her when I was just 15, with my first pregnancy. She kept close tabs on me and my baby. Put me on the best of the best prenatal. She unfortunately did not deliver my baby, but was present as Dr.Stall delivered her. Dr.Boyer did everything she could to make me comfortable in the OR. I didn't have anyone in there with me, she was my only support until my mom could enter. She cried because she couldn't make it to deliver my baby, but stood right by my side while I was being cut open, and losing too much blood. This amazing woman went out of her way and bought be a shake from Steak and shake after i delivered . Also, flew back to Indy just so she could deliver my second baby at 19. Everything went smoothly, thank god. Again. She went out of her way , on her day off to bring me flowers on mothers day. I got the pleasure of meeting her sweet daughter. She has kept such close tabs on me and my pregnancies, also cared about how I was doing. She has made… a huge impact on my life. If she was a doctor that didn't care I could've lost both my babies. This woman is such an inspiration! She is my idol. I've never had a doctor treat me the way she did! I will NEVER let any other OBGYN deliver any of my future babies. I trust this woman with my life, well. I've had too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

does not seem caring about patients

I had been complaining about severe back pain for four years with her and she never did anything for me. She made comments like: Well, I can't give you narcotics every month or some people have pain all month long so pain for only a couple days isn't that bad. I could not believe it! After begging her to do something she did surgery. Before surgery she told my parents that she wouldn't find any endometriosis and she then came out after surgery and told my parents "poor thing she was full of it" .....I would never recommend her to anyone

Dr. Boyer is a wonderful doctor. She was so great during my last pregnancy. She listened to both my husband and myself and never judged us on our sometimes crazy questions. She never seemed like she was too busy to talk over my concerns. She was very intune with what I wanted for my delivery and was always very possitive. She is the one thing I miss about being pregnant.
