was the most horrifying experience for myself and my family
This comment was written by a very troubled substance dependent patient whom I saw pro bono with a family member several times. This patient unfortunately was non-compliant with several of my treatment recommendations because of long standing substance dependence and associated maladaptive behaviors. This comment is understandable payback for my failure to then do what this patient wanted which I felt was not in this patient's best interest. Dual diagnosis is a nasty disorder. Dr. Perlo
When my son was first diagnosed with his disorder I was overwhelmed & concerned about every aspect of his condition and treatment - from therapy to meds.(Especially Meds!)He was relaxed, attentive, extremely astute, patient, and one of my personal favorites: He speaks 'Parent' fluently! In my opinion, Doc Perlo was the best child psychiatrist the AV's had... And he is Greatly Missed!
