Dr Matthews is very down to earth and easy to talk to. I never get the impression that she thinks she is superior because she is a doctor. She listens to issues and responds appropriately.

Having been a patient of Dr. Matthews' for about six months, I cannot recommend her highly enough! She has actually taken lotsof time with me and has been so open and honest in potential diagnoses of my issues. She has been so extremely thorough and if I take 30 minutes for an appointment that should take 10, she has nevr seemed the least bit bothered. I have a huge fear of doctors and she and especially her assistant continue to make me feel comfortable and respected. I appreciate this doctor greatly, but waits could be shorter and ease of phone calls can be difficult!

The primary function of this office is to make money NOT care for the patients and they don't let you forget it. This began with a receptionist who required almost 45 minutes of my telephone time verifying information including insurance coverage before making my first appt. Annual checkup appointments are then shifted to a NPC (Nurse Practitioner) unless you complain. Length of time waiting to see the doctor was excessive and greater than one hour. Back in the exam room the one bright spot was a terrific nurse. She was pleasant, professional, and had great communication skills. However this was contrasted by the doctor's dismissive attitude. She gave the impression she was all knowing and she failed to listen. She performed unnecessary tests but I feel that it was was because she failed to actually sit down long enough to really listen. This doctor confused the lab test HbgA1C (a diabetic test)with a H&H (a test for anemia). This was overall one of THE worst doctor appointments. Needless to say there wasn't a second appointment although they expected me to return for a recheck. Overall this is a physician I would rate as "not worth your time" and keep looking.
