My family and I have been going to Dr. Sommers for over 18yrs, he has watched my daughter grow up to be an adult, he cares and really knows our needs and wants. It makes me real sad to see people with
I have always had good experiences with Dr. Sommer and his office staff. Dr. Sommer listens to you as a patient, and does what is best for you as an individual, which doesn`t exist anymore at a lot
This place is awful. I won`t go into details because I don`t want to put myself at risk but I was a patient for a few years and I had mostly negative experiences with the office staff but most
Awful service for a patient of theirs for some 10 years! My carrier is Anthem Blue Cross who contracts their lab work through Lab Corp I believe. Anyway, the Dr. wrote me a lab slip for a blood
My husband and I saw Dr. Sommer for a few years a while ago. We loved Dr. Sommer, what a nice man and good doctor. Unfortunately, at the time we were seeing him, his daughter was running the front
Rude office staff, lazy too. Dr. Berzansky is ALWAYS late and then rushed. The office is a dump. They also asked for YELP reviews, here is mine. Look elsewhere people. Really.
Dr. Berzansky is my family practitioner and he is wonderful. Very nice and helpful and has always given me very good care. I went to see him for the first time, 6 months after I had a baby and held my
great little practice on Piedmont Avenue. straight forward service, fun staff, and attention to patient needs.
The best practice I`ve met so far in the Bay Area. Dr. Berzansky has been super helpful and efficient. I also had some stitches removed by Dr. Sommer and he did a great job and was great to talk to.
I have been a patient at this office for a few years now and am very happy with my experience. I have found Dr. Berzansky, with whom I have dealt most often, and Dr. Sommer, both to be caring,
Dr. Berzansky is pleasant and sends me on my way with whatever I usually need. The wait time can get pretty long in the back room after the nurse takes care of business like weightblood pressure,
I really appreciate Dr. Berzanski`s accessibility and straightforward attitude.
I`m happy with my experiences at Avenue Family Practice. I have found Dr. Berzansky to be responsive and communicative. I especially appreciate the email access through RelayHealth. Dr. Berzansky
I have been very pleased with Dr. Berzansky and the Lafayette Avenue Practice location, although I have only been going to see Avenue Family Practice for 6 months now. I received immunizations for
Dr. Berzansky is very rushed every time I see him which is why I am confused at how he manages to be running late, making patients wait so long every time as well. With a doctor so rushed to get out
I have had excellent experiences with Dr. Berzansky. He is a very professional and receptive doctor who tells it to you straight, gives you accurate advice, and will go above and beyond to get you
I`ve routinely had good experiences with both Dr. Sommer and Dr. Brezansky, and have seen them for the past 10 years. The staff has always been helpful. They used to have a chatty receptionist but I
I just don`t get these reviews. My experience couldn`t be more different. They are doctors first and foremost here, ok there is some office management problems, and the decor isn`t the best., but
Someone should shut this place down. My several bad experiences within the last 6 months with Dr. Berzansky have been as follows1st incident Dr. Berzansky ordered a knee x-ray for my son months
Despite all the terrible reviews for this doctors office I called and made an appointment anyway. I figured I would just form my own opinion. I`m glad that I did too. I called yesterday morning a
I should have looked at these reviews before making appointments here. This is the worst experience I`ve had at a doctor`s office.I booked an appointment for my annual pap smear and waited for one
I think Dr. Sommer is an excellent primary MD. If he thinks you need more specialized care, he always knows where to send you. He has always spent time with me and he is very concerned that his patients get the best care possible. He has a terrific office staff who are very helpful. I highly recommend him for a primary care MD. I am a Nurse and I see many MD's who hardly take the time to get to know you and barely spend any time with you. They just rush in and out. Sometimes your wait may be 15 min or so, but he will spend the time you need when he gets to you.
I have been seeing Dr. Sommer for many years. He has been all anyone would ask for in a primary MD. He is very knowledgeable and up on the latest information. If he feels you need a more
IF you want personal, responsive or friendly service, this is not the practice to go to. The staff is unresponsive and rude. At least when Dr.Littlejohn was there, there was a Dr who cared and would
So..I don`t know about the other people on here but they obviously had a stick up their ass or something when they visited. I have been coming here for about 4 years now, the location is convenient
I just read the review and statements of Marc Berzansky, DO, which was on the first page for Dr. Sommer. Are there TWO Marc Berzansky doctors The part where he explained his philosophy - it is
Yes, the office decor is tacky. But I would take a crumbling shack if the people and service were great. Front desk people are average. The nurses a little condescending. But the wait time obscenely
I just made an appt. to see Dr. Littlejohn and found out he`s no longer there. I had good experiences with him, so will miss being in his care. I was seeing a female Dr. some years ago there, and
Wow, I read the older reviews only after I'd made my visit and I must say, my experience was very good. I got seen after 10 minute wait (not bad for me coming from Kaiser). The staff was very helpful…
I had Kaiser for many years and was not satisfied with the medical care I was receiving so I decided to switch insurance. I think this place is worse than Kaiser. I called and left three messages for…
Not happy with the office staff. Unprofessional, passes off their responsiblities to pharmacy. It took many calls to fix a problem with a prescription. They required payment for services at time of…
Wednesday, 6/24/09I tried to get an appointment with Dr. Sommer on Monday and again on Tuesday. There was only a recording on Monday until after 4:30 p.m. Apparently the office was too busy to take a call all afternoon which might indicate another person was needed. Where was the Manager who should have stepped in when needed that day? On Tuesday, the person answering the phone told me there was just no chance of getting an appointment without even offering to contact me if there was a cancellation! I didnt encounter these problems when you had a second doctor on the staff. Without Dr. Littlejohn, the office seems to have lost the personal touch that was/is always so important to your clients. I have never been a medical manager, but I have been a department head, and I was expected to see that all was running smoothly. Is that too far off from what is expected of a Medical Manager? As such, are you aware of what is going on? (or NOT going on?)
This place is fine if you know what you need vaccinations for travel, pills for a long plane ride, etc. I will now only view them as a dispensary of prescriptions. But if you go in there and need
Well my last visit confirms what I have been thinking since my first visit nearly 20 years ago--What an awesome Doctor! My husband a brand new patient of Dr. Sommer has had very mysterious symptoms
I am so angry right now my voice is shaking. Long story short: do NOT let anyone in this medical office come near you. This place holds itself out as specializing in travel medicine. I made an…
I never write reviews, but I had to because this doctor showed up on Oakland Magazine's Best Doctor list. What a joke! This is the worst practice I have ever seen; if I could have given it negative…
Ha! Tien A. and Matt R. are right on! I've been around and have never experienced such ghetto lack of professionalism associated with such and overpaid profession! I've dealt with more professional…
I only come here for Karen Van Leuven. She is an amazing nurse practitioner. She is incredibly caring and down to earth. She actually listens to what i have to say and takes time to explain things and…
My 2 cents: I saw Dr. Littlejohn for an appointment last Nov. - worst experience I have had at a doctor's office. The staff was unprofessional and having drama for all patients to see. Dr.…
Dr. Littlejohn is fantastic. Spends lots of time with you, very attentive, and obviously smart. The only problem? Dr. Littlejohn is no longer with the practice, and they have no forwarding information.…
I`ve been seeing Dr. Littlejohn now for about three years. He`s the best doctor I`ve ever been to. I`ve only seen him with HMO insurance, which usually restricts doctors to have about 6 mins per
I think the office has gotten better since the reviewer went in 2007. It seemed to be reasonably professionally run place, and people were friendly.
I got sick while working on a moldy toxic house in Oakland. Started out strong enough to replace the whole roof and foundtion myself. Developed fatigue and headaches and heart arrythmia and muscle…
I visited this office for the first time today (at the recommendation of a friend who's a patient here) for a full physical. The receptionist and nurse were friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait…
Believe it or not, I am actually writing this review from my blackberry in Dr Sommer's waiting room. I've been here for 30 mins waiting for my girlfriend, who is being seen. Here's a quick rundown of…
