My daughter had multiple types of sesures which no other doctor could help her with. He was kind and was able to connect with her on G her level. He not only medicated her with proper medicine, but did proper tests to have her driving. He was booted out of Peace Health and moved to bend. The doctor who took over was Dr.Lockfeld who proceded to yell at us. The EEG was done one monthbefore our appt. which he had not read and screamed at us for not having enough time to read it and when we asked if he could read it now he stated," I have other patients!!!" Because of Jessica's insurance we cannot not see Dr.Goins and even if we could that would mean crossing the Santiam Pass in the winter. What should we do? I called the next day to tell the med assist. that we were out of her meds. and she assured me they would be done that day. They weren't and Friday came and went with no refill. He stated that her EEG was abnormal, but not what was abnormal. Ialso called his boss and left a detailed message and assuming she was on vacation, I am sure she will speak to him as litigation in on board as well as reporting him to the Oregon Board. We need another dr. Goins!!

First, this doctor has failed to agree to a contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield, so we had to pay out of pocket. Doctor required a $200 advance deposit, which we paid, after three phone calls with the doctor's office and two to our insurer. Finally, the doctor cancelled our appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, having decided that our son does not present a condition that he treats. Our pediatric psychiatrist had information to demonstrate to Dr. Goins that the appointment should not have been cancelled--that our son may have just the sort of problem that Dr. Goins could help with--but he was not able to reach Dr. Goins, given the short notice on the cancelled appointment. Dr Goins office did not put our appointment back on the schedule so our visit to our primary care physician, our several phone calls to both doctors and insurers and our $200 cash advance to the doctor accomplished nothing for us but wasted time and inconvenience. In the meantime, my son continues to experience problems that are causing him to miss 3 out of 4 days of school.
