Dr. Steven Arthur Obrien, MD

Based on my experience and his reputation, I think he's one of the best doctors in Western Colorado.

I think the world of Dr. O'Brien. He quickly diagnosed a problem that others did not see. He is kind and warm in dealing with patients.

Doctor O'Brien's biography states that he was a phrmacist who, after marveling at the effect medicine had on the human body, became enamored with medicine enough to finish medical school. After meeting Dr. O'Brien I was marveling at how good things come in hidden packages. He is not a well known doctor in the Roaring Fork Valley yet he is a gem. He is honest, fair, and most importantly for me: he was easy to see quickly. He quickly addressed my problems but only after a thorough diagnosis by eliminating all that was impossible thus leaving only the truth (as Holmes would say). He is an honest doctor and a good man whom I would recommend not just because he seems to truly care but because he doesn't carry an air of elitist superiority or entitlement that accompanies many a doctor when they walk in the door. He's not fun-loving, easy-going or excitable. What he is is easy-to-see, composed and articulate. He's a good phsyician, plain and simple.
