I apologize that her response did not make you feel cared for. Please understand we are trying to leave same day appointments available for sick patients to be seen by their doctor. I take a lot of time with annual physicals (up to 1.5 hours as indicated) and if I take too many in one day, I can't see sick patients. I hope this helps and am so sorry we can't work you in sooner. /DrT
Thank you! I so appreciate you! /DrT
I'm so sorry to hear you haven't felt cared for by me or my office; I only see 15-20 patients per day (vs the average 30-40 for most primary care) in order to spend more time with each patient. Because of how much time I spend, I often get behind and out of respect for patients' time, I thought a 2 problem limit was helpful for me to stay on time. That 2 problem limit is a suggestion, and I have never limited patients to 2 problems.
Thank you so much! I am trying to make some adjustments in scheduling so I can see patients sooner, like no longer going to the nursing home on Thursdays and limiting the number of complete physicals and new patients I see in a day. I also have hired a nurse practitioner full time to see some of the patients I can't get to but who need to be seen. She's great, too! I so appreciate your kind words. /DrT
