Patient Reviews ? Write a Review
Nice facility and staff. Been here several times over the year since I had to change doctor due to insurance.
Front desk HORRIBLE!!! There is a receptionist named Iris I believe. The most inconsiderate person I have ever met
This review is all about the doctor, just like it reads on top, *Tell us about your experience with Dr. Noh*.. HE SAVED MY LIFE, I have been a patient for over 10 years, always going to him for everything, pains, flu, migraines whatever it was. He listens to me every time always pleasant with me. In 2014 I went in for a hernia check I thought, after examining me he requested blood work and a PSA test, I'm 50 no family background of cancer, but he had a feeling. My results came back positive psa high and stage 3 prostate cancer! He sat with me we went over the different options and we decided to see a urologist make a long story short, He found the cancer we removed the prostate and now I'm cancer free!! So remember folks its about the DOCTOR forget the staff, he's the best! ps.......... I've NEVER had any issues with the staff.. I guess I'm polite to them and they are polite to me!
My family doc for 13 years. Always been there for us. Occasionally, we have had to wait but that is balanced by the fact that he always takes the time we need during our visit.
I too have been a patient of Dr. Noh from the start. I was with another doctor but my brother spoke so well of him, I had to see. He was so impressive, kind and truly dedicated to his profession. I was hooked & have been his patient for over 13 years. He is truly a great doctor and I am grateful for all his work, ...but all good things come to an end when you hire unprofessional people and don't want to hear your patient's complaints. The entire staff needs to go! I dread going in for appointments to get Rx refills and choose the walk in clinic for minor concerns. I have put up with all the office demands, forms, and moods because I have so much history with Dr. Noh. but ...i hate their lousy record keeping, not being able to speak to my doctor or get an Rx when I need one because they can't bill my insurance for a visit if I don't go in. . Most of all I hate the fact that I never see a bill or what is charged. I am looking for a new Pcp for my family, but I wish Dr. Noh would make a few changes for his patients.
I have been healthy most of my life, but recently began having problems, and thought it best to consult a primary care physician, rather than a walk-in clinic with a different doctor every time. Dr. Noh was in my area and on my insurance plan, so I gave it a try. I really wanted a physical for school (required annually for my graduate program) but upon arrival and after the entire waiting room heard the conversation a staff member had with my insurance company, I was wrongly informed (as I know now) that I needed a sick visit reason for it to be covered with a $20 copay. So, from across the waiting room, and with other patients present, I was asked to give private health information about why I am sick. Then, after waiting at least 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, even though I arrived 15 minutes early, an assistant took my BP, weight, temp., etc. I spent another 20 minutes in the waiting room. Typical of any doctor office, I do admit. My blood pressure was high (something I have known and been concerned about for months) and Dr. Noh wanted an EKG. I understood why, but assured him that in the last 6 months I had had 2 EKGs with normal results and offered to have them faxed to him. He declined, and said he wanted to be extra careful. I heard him speaking with the nurse/ MA outside my consultation room. The nurse/ MA expressed my concerns to him about insurance coverage and my ability to afford this procedure, to which he responded, "I don't care, get it done." When I finally had an assessment by Dr. Noh himself, it was like Patient Interaction 101: What Not to Do. He constantly interrupted me, made assumptions about my lifestyle to which I felt the need to defend myself rather than explain, and he refused to trust anything I said, at my own expense. The examples that stand out are pregnancy to explain my weight gain (which was impossible thanks to reluctant abstinence and birth control), and worrying me about pheochromocytoma (a rare adrenal tumor) to explain my steady blood pressure increase. He ordered lab tests including these things that would not be covered by my insurance, despite the fact I explained to him that I KNOW where the weight gain came from. I ate/ drank every one of those calories! He also managed to panick me so much that I sought a second opinion later. He said I was at a high risk of clot or stroke and that he wanted to take me off of my birth control, which was successfully treating other conditions. Anyway, although I complained of an asthmatic cough, he refused to give a short round of prednisone (which has worked for me in the past and did not even offer controller medications, and decided an antihistamine would do. Two days later, I was so dried out, the coughing was even worse. A walk-in clinic doctor listened to my concerns, and calmed me about the realities of my condition and what I should do now. I will definitely be looking for a new PCP.
Leaving because of Iris! Rude! Rude! She seems to think she is a doctor! Making decisions she has no business making. She crossed the line the other day taking me in the room writing rx she thought I should have to get me through. I only went in because my pain med rx was written wrong and needed to be rewritten. I do believe she violated my privacy law. I will let the lawyer decide that. Just look around the messy office, it's your records, it's your health. You decide!
If you like long wait times, rude Iris!!!! No follow ups on labs oh did I mention Iris that has no training, just look around being counter what a complete mess it is. Patients records scattered everywhere! Not one ounce of organizations. They talk about patients not in a nice way fir anyone to hear. Workers pounding on door telling Dr. NOH HURRY UP, we want to go home. I heard that a few times. Call and you get machine way more than a live person! Just look behind counter of the mess if you don't believe me. Do you really think your records are in order? Hahaha check for yourself.
I have been going to Dr. Noh for the last 3 years. On my first visit the office manager Iris asked me if I was a pain management patient. Note that it was my first visit. Obviously that was inappropriate. Answer = NO. She was very rude and seemed like I was not welcomed. It made me feel very uncomfortable. Needless to say Dr. Noh was polite. Every time I called to make an appointment Iris would answer and put me on hold, I could hear her talk to the staff very disrespectful as to me. I would be happy when I came to an appointment and she was not there. She talks down to people and acts like she is the doctor. She needs to check herself; she is at the front desk. I put up with her because Dr. Noh. She is manic and should not be talking to patients. She is a patient. Honestly she is ruining his practice and due to the fact he will be held liable.
Dr. Noh is a really sweet man. He is not the best but does his best to provide his patients with what they need. I enjoyed having him as a doctor. Yet, his wife who is also the office manager is another story. She is RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND FORGETS THAT HER HUSBAND IS THE DOCTOR NOT HER!!! I have thyroids and needed a refill until I was able to go to see Dr. Noh the following week yet she said NO!! Apparently told me common sense would tell me if I need those pills I should have gone to see Dr. Noh sooner. Not to mention she told me I should know the policies in the office yet I never received a policy book. She even had the audacity to tell me to go to a walk-in clinic and check if I can get a prescription from them because she wasn't going to help me. Needless to say I will not longer be going there and neither will my boyfriend. Thanks to her, Dr. Noh will be losing a lot of patients.
Once again, your "lovely" office manager has run off two more patients. Who does she think she is? I have NEVER been spoken to by anyone the way she has. Maybe she is job security???...making people sick with her attitude. Although an inconvenience, we will seek a new doctor. No one deserves to be treated the way your wife treats your patients. We feel sorry for you. Iris might make a good prison guard.
Two main points before I get started (In my personal opinion): 1) Dr. Noh is the GREATEST - Absolutely fantastic 2) Regarding his wife, Iris, who is also the office manager -- well, a completely different story. All of the negative comments about her in these reviews are RIGHT ON TARGET. I am giving 2 stars: Dr. Noh: 4 stars. Office manager: 0 stars, so that averages out to 2 stars. I have been seeing Dr. Noh since his office next to Town & Country Hospital, in 2003. At that time I had another doctor I was very happy with but when she was on vacation and Dr. Noh was the on-call doctor, one visit was all it took. I had all of my records transferred and he has been my doctor since. Back then, it was only Dr. Noh, the office person Janet (who is wonderful and is a favorite with the patients) and a nurse. There have been many nurse changeovers over the years but Janet is still there. About 3 years later I moved over an hour away but I wouldn't have even thought to change doctors. Dr. Noh was more than worth a 1 hr 15 min away from my home. So that is how it has been for 5 years. The last couple of years it has been very difficult dealing with Mrs. Noh. I would just bite my tongue and not say anything because I just kept reminding myself if I choose Dr. Noh then she comes along with that decision. I will just mention a couple of incidents as this review is going to be long enough as it is. About 1 -1/2 years ago I went for a visit and she was openly complaining about my insurance plan and that she would probably drop them in the future. She was going on and on and I came close to just having to pay the full price and requesting reimbursement from my insurance company. If you don't want to deal with the plan then just discontinue accepting the patients, don't openly complain where everyone hears you, not just me. I have diabetes which requires lab testing every so often before I can get refills. I get prescriptions for probably 6 medications. Sometimes he would let me go longer between visits depending on how my lab work looked. The last time I visited him he gave me prescriptions with (3) 90-day refills. Additionally, I take a cholesterol pill to keep my cholesterol in check. This is a minor medication. Diabetes is what he really keeps close tabs on, thus, the regular labwork. I get my last 90-day refill on all of the medications this morning. Then a couple of weeks before I run out I get the lab work and see Dr. Noh a few days later for more refills. For some reason when I got the refills, I was shorted on the cholesterol medication. I call Dr. Noh's office and Iris answered. I explained the issue to her and asked that Dr. Noh refill this cholesterol prescription to match all the rest of them. She refused and said I had to come in. She was going on and on and I finally just simply asked her to please write a note for Dr. Noh to make the deision if he will give me the refill to match the other prescriptions and she said NO, SHE WILL NOT TAKE A MESSAGE AND TO DO WHATEVER I NEED TO DO !! THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW. I hung up on her. I am finished with Dr. Noh not because he isn't the best doctor I ever had but because I simply CAN NOT deal with her anymore. I dealt with her for so long because of Dr. Noh but I simply can not do it anymore. I was upset not because she said I had to come in but rather because SHE SAID NO, SHE WILL TAKE A MESSAGE. Who is the doctor, Dr. Noh or her? Goodbye Dr. Noh. I will miss you SOOO VERY MUCH :( :( :( :( Thank you so much for taking care of me so well for the last 10 years. I was one of your first patients. I'm not sure how many patients from 2003 that are still regular patients. You were brand-new when I first started coming to see you. Again, thank you for everything. You are the best and I wish you a lifetime of happiness and success.
I am sorry to say my experience with the staff was horrid. I came to Dr. Noh because I had recently moved into Westchase. My first visit consisted of a standard review of my health with the Doctor who was quite affable; the Doctor has an engaging manner. He reviewed my medications and refilled them without any changes. Three months later I called the office for a refill and they asked me to come in for a medication check. I told the office manager about the medications scripted three month prior by the doctor and she insisted that the doctor had not filled one of my prescriptions. The manager was quite insistent that I was mistaken regarding doctor's scrip three month earlier. I visited the pharmacy and they printed out the copy of the scrip in question which I brought along when I visited the office that day. I provided the copy to the staff. After meeting with the Dr. Noh it became apparent that the office manager had neglected to make a copy of the original scrip from three months ago and place it in the file. The manager was argumentative and accusatory in her manner even when presented with the copy of the original scrip. As I left the examining room to pay my bill and collect the new scrip, the staff handed me a "Patient Consent Form and Opioid Use" form. The form was a rough copy and contained 11 different items including: "risks; promise to keep only one physician; promise to keep only one pharmacy; agreement to allow random blood and urine tests to assess compliance; promise to taper off narcotic; restatement of agreement to random urine tests to monitor pain medication; understanding that lost or stolen opioids controlled substance will not be replaced and prescriptions will only be given during regular office hours and will not be given or refilled weekends or evenings. No narcotics over the telephone. If a prescription is stolen a police report is required for replacement; a psychological evaluation regarding addiction may be necessary at any time; deviation or loss of effectiveness will result in tapering or discontinuance of the narcotic; Doctor can contact any physician or pharmacy to confirm compliance; confirmation patient isn't using "street drugs." Understanding that failure to comply with any and all rules will be cause for immediate termination." I asked the staff why I was asked to sign such a form when the medications prescribed were not opioids. My response led to more unwarranted suspicion by the staff who said that if I didn't sign, they would not release the refill. They immediately suggested crossing out certain rules on the form which made me even more uncomfortable. I took the form home to consider it's merit. I called the staff days later and I was told that they were terminating me as a patient. After having already spent money to establish myself as a patient with this practice I acquiesced and signed the form. The staff said they would get back to me. A week went by and still no answer. I called today and was informed by the office manager that the Doctor was uncomfortable with my reaction to the consent form and further that he was preparing a letter of termination which they want me to sign if I want my prescription filled for the next 30 days. I have decided to go elsewhere for medical care. I think the climate in healthcare has become Kafkaesque.
Dr, Noh is a good man and a fine doc. He's worth the wait and takes care of whatever needs to be taken care of and the staff <b>always</b> fits me in. Iris and the gals are great. Work with them and I guarantee the'll work with you. They do the absolute best they can as busy as they are..
I have been on 3 appoinments at Dr. Noh's office where my wait time just exceeded an hour. The second time, I just got up and left. Busy working, professionals cannot sit inside a Dr. office all day! Upon further inquiry, I learned that the office always schedules 3-5 people for the exact same appointment time! With that logic, there is no way they could ever be prompt or remotely on time. Clearly, if I kept my customers waiting for an hour, I would have none! This practice is inefficient and waste valuable patient time. There are many Drs. in town who won't make you sit in the waiting room for 1 hr as a standard practice!
My family and I have been seeing Dr. Noh for about 8 years and had to leave for a year due to my insurance. I could not find another doctor to even come close to the care and genuine concern that I've felt with Dr. Noh's office and entire staff. He is so thorough running tests, sending us to specialist and making sure we are getting excellent care and perfect diagnosis.
I went in to establish as a new patient, during my visit an EKG was performed and I was referred to cardiologist. I was in the office over an hour (waiting from response from previous physician's office) I had someone with me the entire time. at 7:00 pm the doctor called me to tell me to follow with cardiologist and to make sure I was okay. I cannot speak highly enough of this office and this physician. I look forward to a long association with Dr. Noh.
The regular staff is great but Dr. Noh's wife, Iris is very rude and disrespectful to his patients. She will place you on hold and will not tell you. She always acts like you bothering her when you call or visit the office. Their kids come in the office, they make a lot of noise where the patients can hear them in the rooms or lobby. She will make appointments to other doctor without your confirmation that you are able to make that appointment to that provider. Iris acts like she is the doctor instead of her husband.
I have been a patient of Dr. Noh's for over 2 years after he was highly recommended to me. When I first started seeing Dr. Noh, I was very impressed, even though he constantly prescribes the most expensive medicines he can find. In the beginning, I did notice that you had to ask him questions to actually get him to stay in the exam room with you long enough to make the visit worthwhile. Over the course of the 2 years, the office management has become such a joke that you cannot even get an appointment. You have to call, leave a message and then hope you get a call back that day so you'll be able to be seen. Even for non-emergency room emergencies. I have been suffering from severe sinus infections and have missed work twice in the past two weeks. I had to go to a local urgent care due to Dr. Nohs office not even calling me back. Unfortunately, the sinus infection has returned again so I called Dr. Noh's office to plead for a headache medicine. I actually got through this time but was quickly shot down. It is not his policy to just prescribe over the phone. I can understand this ... IF I WASN'T A LONG TERM PATIENT AND HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM THIS FOR THREE WEEKS. On top of that, I was not asking for 20 pills. I need two to get me through the day at work until I could come in for an appointment tomorrow. Wheres the compassion? I am highly disappointed in the recent patient treatment where it becomes a PROFIT OVER PATIENT clinic. I noticed this when every medication I was being prescribed was 1. not available in generic form and 2. Well over 40 dollars per script with at least 3 being prescribed each time. On top of that, the examinations are kept to such a minimum he practically comes in, writes the scripts and leaves the room. This is a terrible thing for a Dr. that seems to know what they're talking about. The way this office is being run will make his pockets fat, but he will lose all of his patients in the process. After the extremely long wait times, lack of time during examinations and now this, I know hes now lost my family and I. THANKS DR. NOH!
I had been going to this practice for 8 years. I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Noh's bedside manner, professionalism in the medical industry and knowledge for caring for his patients. There was no doubt he is a good doctor. BUT his office manager/wife, has permanently ruined the experience and I will never return. Actually, my husband and my mother will also never return being how I was treated with such disrespect. She is extremely hateful, uncaring and will eventually ruin his reputation as a good doctor. She demanded I pay or get out. She threatened me, embarrassed me and brought me to tears. It would be in Dr. Noh's best interest to replace her with someone who knows how to talk and care for patients. For those patients who choose to continue to see Dr. Noh, beware of the large, overweight Chinese woman. She will eventually turn on you. I will continue to spread the word in all of the Westchase area so that she knows the damage she created for the business.
I have been with Dr. Noh for approxiamately 5 years now and he has exceptional bedside manner, as well as, good at diagnosing your illness. I stay at least 30 to 45 minutes away from his office but never too far to visit his office if anything comes up with my health. Great doctor!
I've been going to Dr. Noh for over 7 years. He is very interested in my health and well being. Takes all the time I need for questions or concernes I have. Because he cares, his staff tends to overbook him, which cause longer wait times as the day goes on. Early appointments are best :) I have also recommeded Dr. Noh to several of my friends, family and colleages at work.Everyone should like and trust their doctor as much as I do Dr. Noh and his wonderful staff.
DR NOH AND STAFF ARE VERY EFFECIENT,CARING,AND PROFICIENT WITH PATIENTS
very rude office staff especially a lady named Iris in his office
I loved Dr. Noh, he is exactly what I was looking for in a doctor, however, his office manager was extremely rude, was more concerned with getting $100 up front because she was unsure of my health insurance and then when I called to ask a question about my blood work I was told I have to come in to be seen and that would be $65.00. She is reason enough to switch Doctors which is tragic because he is awesome. :(
Everything went smoothly except for the office manager. She is rude, lazy, and a terrible addition to Dr. Noh's office. If I were Dr. Noh I'd get rid of her asap because she has lost him multiple patients.
Dr. Noh always makes time for his patients. There is no "I'm sorry, we have nothing available for 2 weeks," when you need to see him.You ALWAYS see the doctor. When he plans on taking vacation - he makes sure that you are taken care of before he goes and that you have a contingency plan as to who to see while he's gone.
I have an overrall ok experience. The office staff is very nice EXCEPT the office manager is VERY VERY rude, get rid of her or your patients will start leaving one by one! She is NOT professional AT ALL!!!
Dr. Noh is a compassionate doctor and he truly cares about his patients. He is also very thorough. It was easy to get an appointment. The office was very nice too. I would highly recommend this doctor.
