My mom was previously misdiagnosed and as a result her vision was rapidly deteriorating without the right medical intervention. Dr. Mahmoud not only corrected the diagnosis, but he also aggressively intervened to treat her condition. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Mahmoud and his team were extremely professional, attentive, kind and knowledgeable. On a professional level, Dr. Mahmoud has brought the highest standards in this field to Michigan. On a personal level, we are deeply grateful for the excellent care and intervention!

Dr Mahmoud performed a vitrectomy surgery on my eye to remove an epiretinal membrane. Results exceeded my expectations with no complications. Dr. Mahmoud operated on my eye in early 2018 for a detached retina. The surgery was completely successful with no unintended consequences or adverse effects. I have seen him several times since for follow-up visits. He is always professional and courteous. He conducts his visits efficiently, yet not so quickly that the patient feels the visit is superficial. I strongly recommend Dr. Mahmoud for any serious retinal issues.

I saw Dr. Mahmoud as a patient at the Duke Eye Center in North Carolina. He was extremely knowledgeable and competent. But it was his caring and compassionate attitude that made him exceptional.

Dr. Mahmoud is the best doctor I have ever seen. His knowledge, patience, surgical skills, and bedside manners are second to none. After many years of not being able to see, he successfully restored my vision. Yes, you may need to wait some time before you are seen, but once you are, he devotes all his time to making sure that he has answered all your questions. Forget the ratings that are lower because of the wait time, as that isn’t his fault. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants real patient care.

I believe Dr Mahmoud is a dedicated & very experienced eye doctor. I have diabetic retinopathy and have been his patient for 3+ years. He always answers any & all questions that I have. His procedures have restored my vision so that I can drive my car. I have the upmost confidence in him. However, the total time for each visit is approximately 2 - 3 hours. But the results are worth the time.
