My ultrasound showed a severely disased gallbladder. He scheduled my surgery 3 weeks out, gave me a pamphlet, and gave me a refillable prescription for Vicadin. I was told no one could do it any sooner. I ended up at the E.R. to have it out 2 weeks later. He ended up doing it, but told me I should still go home and wait another week. I said no way. He did the surgery, And sent me home that day. I called his office in pain, I was told it was from the gas. Finally his partner saw me 4 days after surgery and scheduled a blood panel and a radiology exam. A bile leak was found, I was not sutured properly, and my diseased gallbladder was much more distended and required larger than normal incisions even though he had never mentioned it. His partner told me about it when he was going thru my file. I underwent a procedure to have a stent put in by another doctor. I never heard from Dr. Poulin. I never received a bill, either. I am guessing to keep me from filing malpractice. Stay away.

I went to see Dr. Poulin for stomache problems. He told me what the problem was and what the procedure would be. I didn't have insurance but he didn't turn me away. He did the surgery and made sure I was feeling better. I pay him $10.00 a week and he's perfectly okay with that. He really cares about his patients and if I ever have to have surgery I wouldn't want anybody else to do it. I was in great hands. Debbie Adams

I fired him after he was a "no show" at my outpatient surgery. I was taken into the surgery suite after waiting 90 minutes and was told to reschedule as he was not there. I had another surgeon do the surgery a month later. Never received a "I am sorry from this physician". I will never go back to him and was offended.

I appreciated the professionalism and courtesy of Dr. Poulin. The wait to get to see him when he is in the office is sometimes long, but when you are in pain it is wonderful to be allowed to come that day-even if you have to wait. I have total confidence in the doctor and would go back again if I need further surgery. Pam Russell
