Dr. Thomas D Tinker, MD

Dr. Tinker was my anesthesiologist for two procedures. He was great about listening to my concerns, what worked previously, and finding a solution that made me comfortable. During the end of my last procedure, I had a life threatening complication and Dr. Tinker and the team at the OU surgery center were able to stabilize me until they could transfer me to the hospital. I am so thankful for Dr. Tinker and the care that he and his team provided that day.

Dr. Tinker provided anesthesia during my recent surgery. I was concerned about the risks of going under general anesthesia, and he allowed me to choose to receive an alternative sedation/local. After my procedure, he stayed and advised me on how minimal the risks of general truly are, and even explained the possible risks that could present when asking providers who perform procedures routinely, to try something out of the ordinary. I appreciated so much that he discussed this with me, but without pressuring me beforehand to do something I was not comfortable with. Overall, he allowed me to have a voice in my own care, and treated me kindly and respectfully. And I felt no pain during my surgery, and very little afterward.
