Have you seen Dr. Chope Archuleta?
October 20th, 2013So far, Not so Good
This doctor has been my elderly mother's primary care physician since my mom's previous physician moved - I believe nearly 1 year ago. Whether it's the doc or the nursing home mom is at, we have not been able to establish acceptable communication regarding mom's treatment, medical needs, and especially changes in mom's medications. Drastic, sometimes ill-advised, changes are made without consulting or advising me or my sister, and our mother suffers for it. It's a completely unacceptable situation with which we are constantly dealing by telephone and/or in-person intervention (which requires a minimum 4-hour drive each way) and we do not consider this an acceptable standard of care. After hours? Don't even TRY to get in contact - doc provides no communication after hours, and the nurse's pager is either non-functional or the nurse ignores it, one or the other. Very, very bad medical care.
