I found Dr. Urman Desai on this site, at the time he had very little reviews on Real Self, especially on Breast Augmentation. But a few things drew me in, the second I found him. Like any other doctor I found, I decided to straight up stalk their internet identity. I do not have social media accounts...So considering the amazing things I have seen about Desai, I'm sure there is a boat load more if I had accounts to view the (user only) content. Like Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, etc. He is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I can’t even begin to express my feelings about him. People get awestruck going to Hollywood for the stuff they scroll through on their screens.... I got awestruck when I met the man who has changed so many lives by reconstructing them after awful accidents. That was what originally drew me in. After looking at his Instagram I discovered that, not only is he a genius on fixing people’s unfortunate accidents.... but he is also a genius on embellishing God's design. After that....… I was hooked. Now, I’m not a complete moron...I did other consultations...But did I get to talk to any other doctor? Nope. In fact, most the time I was given a cell number to text...I’m old fashioned (AKA live under a rock) So when I do anything I do it face to face or over a phone call. I reached out to 4 different facilities. 1 facility never even got back to me...after 2 voicemails and emails. But when I contacted Desai's office, I spoke with his assistant Michelle on the first call.... Holy crap, I wish I could do a separate review on this lady too. But when you have good management, good staffing is sure to follow. She completely took care of everything I threw at her. I misplaced my lab work papers and I was able to call her while sitting at the lab and she immediately faxed them over. I have never had immediate response like that when it comes to Doctors...which I deal with upstanding doctors at Denver's Children Hospital regularly for my daughter. So, this blew me away. All my pre-appointments were facetime with Desai himself. If he was going to be running late, Michelle would call me prior to the appointment time, to inform me when he’d be calling me. I never waited around for anyone in that office. When I couldn't figure out Skype, Desai would call me and stay on the phone until we were connected and could see and hear each other. Since I was so unsure about cc's, he had me come in the day before surgery to discuss sizing. He was patient and honest with me and took different routes to show me what my breasts would look like. Once I chose a size, we discussed how surgery day would go and all the pre-op mumbo jumbo. When it came time for payment, he discretely asked me if I’d like to handle the finances that day or day of surgery...Since I was carrying quite a bit of cash on me we took care of it that day and we handled it all inside a closed-door office (which I appreciated). I felt good handing over all that hard-earned cash. I didn't feel like this was all a scam or fearful of any other concerns that comes with handing over cash prior to a service. The day of surgery went smoothly. I had nausea and dizziness from the fasting and every time I needed to sit while being marked up, he immediately grabbed my robe and put it over me. His bedside manners are something to rave about. All the nurses, anesthesiologist, assistants and Desai were all very calm, soft spoken, helpful and showed concern and compassion. I was wheeled to the surgery room and put under. I woke up and honestly don't remember anything until the following day. But my husband was informed/updated throughout the time I was in surgery. He was given coffee and checked in on, while he waited for me. Which I appreciate since he was by himself, waiting for a couple of hours. After surgery my husband and nurse helped get me dressed, and the nurse wheeled me out and waited with us while we waited for our Uber, then continued to help me get inside the vehicle. That evening Dr. Desai called and left a voicemail, checking in on me, giving me some rules to follow for the morning. My post-op appointment was the evening after surgery. Due to the meds I was feeling very off, out of my mind quite a bit. He showed concern and discussed how some people just react to meds/surgery differently and from then on, I decided to get off the pain meds and use Tylenol only. Man, what a difference that made. Personally, for me I’d rather feel pain than constant spinning. I left his office with lots of advice, rules to follow, answered questions, follow up appointments made and his personal cell number for any concerns. I’m currently 6 days post-op and even though I’m still sore, alien/square/torpedo boobied up...I feel confident that they will heal exactly the way I envision and without any problems along the way. Dr. Desai is by far the most professional, kind hearted, knowledgeable doctor I have EVER met. I feel very lucky to have found him for my surgery. If I were to have anything else done or revised I wouldn't even hesitate to call him up and schedule immediately. For any girls out there, who have had their calls ignored or feel uneasy, I urge you to not go through with that doctor. Because good doctors exist, Desai is on the top of the list and he’s a breeze to get a hold of. I hate seeing botched surgeries and heartbroken girls on this site due to not following their gut instinct. Give Desai a call and he will give you the service you deserve.
