Dr. Usha Naga Peri, MD

I highly recommend Dr. Usha Peri at North Texas Kidney Disease Associates in Lewisville, Texas. She is an intelligent, caring, well-informed professional who listens carefully, answers questions fully, asks follow-up questions, and ensures that you understand her responses. She clearly stated the cause of my issues, explained the seriousness of the problem with specificity, and advised me on how to help ensure a positive outcome. I enjoy her manner and appreciate her attitude. The staff is well-prepared and friendly, which is important. They ensure that they know what all my medical issues are, what doctors are dealing with those issues, what medications are prescribed, and what supplements I'm taking. Wait times are reasonable. It feels great to have Dr. Peri and her staff on my medical team.

I've been treated by Dr Peri for Chronic Kidney Disease since 2012. I've had other serious health issues and hospitalizations in that time period, none directly related to my CKD, but all impacting my kidney function and treatment. Dr Peri's counsel to me during these episodes has been exceptional. She is a gifted physician. She shares information and perspective which empowers me to make decisions about my healthcare. I see her as a the best possible partner as I evolve to my eventual transplant at Medical City Dallas. She is sensitive to my needs- she provides me with 360 degree care- Heart, Mind and Body. Dr. Usha Peri is beyond EXCELLENT! I am the care-giver for my 88 yr old Mother. Of all the doctors we see, Dr. Peri is by far the BEST! I am convinced Dr. Peri saved my Mother's life on more than one occasion. Dr. Peri is compassionate, caring, experienced, knowledgeable and data driven. Dr. Peri's outstanding listening skills and professional intuition always translates into successful treatment plans. I am so thankful for Dr. Peri's outstanding care of my Mother.

Dr. Usha Peri is very approachable, listening doctor who shows great concern for her patient. She is very knowledgeable, and is an 'out-of-box' thinker in her treatment approach which means that she uses every avenue possible to address the treatment of an illness, and keeps the total health of the patient in mind. As a patient, I ask about the medications, the labs, and how I can help myself improve my health. She is great in encouraging active participation in the treatment process.

I completely trust Dr. Peri and her decisions regarding my health. She is cautious, but does not make you worry. She even suggested that I obtain a second opinion. Most doctors do not do that. They expect you to do what they recommend. Dr. Peri has reduced my anxiety over my chronic kidney disease. Also, she has very friendly staff members.
