Dr. Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD

Dr. Fuster has become a distant, dismissive, unavailable, and uncaring doctor. It is sad to see because he used to be known as a great cardiologist. I can tell you that I have put up with a lot over the years and like to be loyal, but Dr. Fuster can no longer be trusted with my cardiac care.

My husband was a patient for 12 years. Dr. Fuster neglected his deteriorating heart condition for years, made the wrong diagnosis and completely missed the root cause of his symptoms. Recently my husband went into Afib but Dr. Fuster did not tell us nor did he put him on any anticoagulants. Dr. Fuster is extremely hard to talk to and does not like to be questioned, He does not even allow you to interrupt him to ask him a question. He is very old-school and you have to go through his fellows and his nurse and make an appointment to be able to talk to him on the phone. Not recommended.

Did what five other doctors failed to do . He read my records. He figured out what was wrong. Everyone else missed it. It is not fun to go from Doctor to Doctor looking for help and not getting it. Dr Fuster is consummate professional and brilliant cardiologist.

I had an extensive blockage of the LAD but no other damage. No other cardiologist I consulted had ever seen that combination of extreme blockage without other signs of CAD. Dr. Fuster was recommended to me and was able to explain its origins and made a clear explanation of the importance of getting a stent. He arranged to have the procedure performed in 4 days after my seeing him. Subsequent to the procedure, he was very attentive to my comments as well as kind, gentlemanly, and warm. I feel tremendously grateful and fortunate that I came under his inspired care.

Aside from being a physician who provides unmatched cardiac care and the best of advice, coupled with an ability to find solutions that other physicians cannot, Dr. Fuster's warm and caring demeanor always leaves the patient informed and free of anxiety after the visit. He is one of a kind!

My entire family and I recall fondly how Dr. Valentin Fuster swooped into his hospital room and helped save my Grandfather's life. Dr. Fuster made everything in my Grandfather's patient care better. We are forever grateful for his expertise and care.

When you are with him, you receive his undivided attention. He is an accessible doctor and is patient and exhaustive in addressing all of his patients' questions and concerns. I consider myself fortunate to be in his care.
