Dr. Vicky Makker, MD

During my rigorous (and successful) treatment for Stage 3 Endometrial cancer in Dr. Makker’s care, I came to know her as a brilliant doctor and stellar human being - exceedingly knowledgable, kind, and thoroughly devoted to providing the highest level of patient care and the scientific pursuit of new regimens that might improve outcomes and the treatment experience. She’s the real deal.

spends little time with patient; dislikes being "interrupted" with a question; made questionable decisions; seems uninterested in the patient as individual - but always punctual.

Dr. Makker recoils from actually engaging with her patients. She is in it for professional achievement, and does not care for women who are suffering and might "inconvenience her" with need for deep discussion and support.

She is brilliant and compassionate. If you have advanced endometrial cancer there is nobody better anywhere.

Very knowledgeable, caring , professional

I have been with Dr. Makker for 4 years when I was first diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. Dr. Makker is caring and very knowledgeable. She has helped make my journey as comfortable as possible. She and her staff have always made themselves available to me and my family. I recommend Dr.Makker highly!!

This doctor is not someone you want in charge of your care. She is immature, spiteful and behaves like a spoiled brat. She displays the behavior of a narcissist. She is inflexible, unwilling to listen and very condescending. She may be an ok doctor, but the thought of dealing with such a difficult person for the rest of my life (no matter how short) is unfathomable. I have switched and am so much happier

Dr Makker is totally awesome. My oncologist in NJ wanted me to see someone at Sloan to broaden my treatment and clinical trial options. I am so happy I was finally matched with her after being offered appointments with two other oncologists at Sloan and not choosing them. Dr Makker thoroughly researched my background prior to speaking with me the first time. She has conferred with my doctor in NJ and I believe that I'm in doubly great hands wutr being a part of my medical team. She's patient, knowledgeable, and gives me hope when in stage 3c ovarian cancer there isn't much to have.

Dr. Makker is the best. She is very clear and concise about what is going on with my cancer. Whether it's good news or bad news she gets right to the point and immediately goes over our plan of action. Just as some things are hard for me to hear, I'm sure they're hard for her to have to say but she always delivers news with strength, appropriate empathy and clarity. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
