It looks like my comments never got posted. Anyway, when having my blood draw this morning I noticed that the lady was not wearing gloves, plus I did not see her use any sanitizer on her hands. Is that OK and safe? Russ Nixon

Just realized that I did not see lady that did my blood draw wear any gloves OR sanitize her hands Before doing blood draw. Is that normal procedure and nothing to be concerned about. Russ Nixon

No matter how busy she is, Dr Patel really listens and is kind. She is also very knowledgeable. I recommended her to a friend for a second opinion who's doctor wanted her to start hormone replacement therapy. Dr Patel said she would not do that without a current mammogram and other related tests. The mammogram revealed breast tumors and she had a double mastectomy. If she would have started on the hormones without testing, the results could have been disastrous! I trust Dr Patel with everything from small issues to major ones. Her advice and treatments are always spot on.

We were thrilled to get the whole family set up with this practice. Then little by little, we all started finding better doctors - my spouse, my adult daughter and now me. There's a huge matter of being tone deaf when a doctor tells a chronic disease patient that they hate "medications" when you're sitting there needing them to survive. This doctor neither prescribes pain meds or Medical Marijuana.

You would hope for better and more supportive policies for an Internal Medicine doctor, but so far this one looks to be completely tone deaf to the needs of the chronically ill. Instead of keeping their new patient applications online so we can fill them out at home, they require TWO visits to get established as a patient: 1) to pick up the application (10 pages) and 2) to drop off the stupid packet PRIOR to being allowed to even make an appointment. It's 2019 - GET A PATIENT PORTAL, ALREADY!

I had to use doctor for my pap last year. It was a disaster from the beginning to end ... she apparently doesn’t do these often so it was very uncomfortable but it was her staff, who coded my sample incorrectly and then virtually ignored my calls and inquiries. As a result, I was charged for the lab work because medicare didn’t accept the codes staff used. Office staff were absolutely useless in “fixing” problem and every person I spoke to had a different answer. I even wrote a personal letter to dr and even tho I had called again and again they never fixed problem so I was ultimately responsible for the lab bill. I’m still seeing dr and would like to change but that is easier said than done. There seems to be a slight improvement in staff since a big turnover. It seems, if there are no issues, the practice runs pretty smooth and effective for me. I suggest everyone keep track of their bp’s, lab work and own needs since accuracy really isn’t part of this practice. You have to ask… questions and stay on top of everything.

Awful attitude. Can't be bothered with "sick" people.

Dr. Patel and her staff are always warm and welcoming. They treat you like a person and not a number. Dr. Patel has the best bedside manner. She really cares and will spend the time to talk about the issues and the solutions. Her office hours are wonderful for those of us who work full-time, but sometimes getting to see her right away is hard because her office is so busy. However, her office staff will do their best to accommodate.
