Dr. Wen-Hann Tan, MBBS

Dr. Wen-Hann Tan is an attending physician in the Division of Genetics and Genomics at Boston Children’s Hospital and an associate professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School who specializes in clinical genetics, rare Mendelian disorders, pediatric cancer predisposition syndromes, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as Angelman syndrome. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nottingham Medical School in the United Kingdom and completed advanced training in pediatrics and clinical genetics in both the UK and the United States, including fellowship training through the Harvard Medical School Genetics Training Program. Dr. Tan has been on the faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital since 2006 and is internationally recognized for his work in rare genetic disorders and clinical trials for genetic syndromes. In addition to his clinical care, he leads and collaborates on multiple research initiatives involving Angelman syndrome, Bohring-Opitz syndrome, and …emerging gene therapy approaches for rare diseases, helping advance precision medicine and innovative treatments for children with complex genetic conditions.
