Stay far away from this doctor! Worst bedside manner and zero patience! Did not explain the procedure he was performing and stormed out after my husband was so uncomfortable! Was almost put off that he wasted his time! Worst doctor we have ever seen and I am in the medical field!
Dr. Nabors was somewhat smug, over confident, he printed out articles he had written about prostatitis to show how knowledgeable he was, but then told me point blank that his approach was a shotgun approach of using a powerful antibiotic up front and hoping for best. He was far from the best Dr. I have seen for this problem. The biggest problem I had was getting bills from his office over a year later! I thought I would never clear up my bill even after two trips to his office to write checks.
If I didn't know better, I would have thought I wrote the review below me. I too am a 23 year old who has never had any major medical issue and Dr. Nabors attitude was the worst I could possibly encounter. He explained nothing that was going on and I left the office with more questions than I came in with. He and his staff were incredibly rude and unorganized. They didn't know if he was finished or if I needed to go sit in the exam room again. And when I asked him to explain what the plan of action was he acted like I was wasting his time. I will never be returning to Dr. Nabors.
Maybe I just caught him on a bad day, but my experience with Dr. Nabors was by far the worst medical experience of my life. He said he wanted an CT of my abdomen, but he didn't mention that he ordered one with contrast dye that would take 30 minutes, and they didn't tell me that until literally right before they were about to start the test. I had the worst panic attack of my life, and Dr. Nabors got extremely angry with me over it.I'm only 23 and had never, until now, had a major medical problem in my life, which is probably atypical for urology patients too, but no one took ANY time to explain to me what was going on and just ordered me around. I have anxiety issues, and honestly yesterday was easily one of the top 5 worst days of my life.Just keep it in mind if you're younger, have less experience with more intense medical testing, and have issues with anxiety. If you fall into any of those categories, I would highly recommend against seeing Dr. Nabors, though I would say to be wary of him in general.
Dr Nabors saved my life after the medical college sent me home with an infection and a kidney stone the size of a "goose egg" I had no insurance or source of income when I saw Dr. Nabors. He worked with me as did his staff to arrange payment terms at his office and at the hospital for my multiple surgeries to chip and lazer the stone to lithotrypsy size.He is truly a life saver for me.
Didn't take the time to sit down and explain diagnosis. Medical records staff didn't send records to another MD in a timely manner. Other staff were fine.
Dr. Nabors is simply the best. he has an amazing bedside manner and will go above and beyond for his patients. The best specialty doctor I have ever encountered.
I have a problem that was solved by Dr. Nabors. I went to 4 urology practices and it took 3 years to find him. He was refered to me by my wife's MD who's problem was solved by Dr. Nabors. I highly recommend both him and Dr. Hill. It is 2 years out and I am doing great.
I am so thrilled that I found Dr. Nabors. He is always VERY busy but makes time to talk to me about what's going on. He treats me as though I'm intelligent (a nice change). He is funny and I have had good results from the procedures he has performed. I'd recommend him to anyone.
He doesn't review your chart thoroughly before walking in. I've had to repeatedly update him on the history of my own treatment in his office. I've had numerous problems getting prescriptions written correctly. he's a nice guy personally, but his office (and him to a certain extent) is disorganized.
Dr Nabors cared for my dad's kidney stones and made a painful situation a pleasant memory. I'll never forget his diagrams on pillowcases. Dad still laughs over that. Thanks Dr Nabors
Bill Nabors has cared for me for several years and I would recommend him without hesitation. He is kind and as gentle as you can be in his profession.
