My Mom was hospitalized with diverticulosis. The generalist asked for a routine colonoscopy to be performed by Dr. Burch. He perforated my Mom's colon and did not know it. He told me the procedure went fine. Sepsis set in and she had a 5-6 hour resectioning. Five days later she died from her infection. The colonoscopy was Friday. He didn't see her again till Monday, saying he wasn't told about it. I would never use him as my gastorenterologist.
