Dr. Windsor Ting, MD

I urge anyone considering care with this physician to conduct extensive due diligence before proceeding. The following reflects my direct, first-hand experience as a patient treated by Dr. Ting for DVT and venous complications, including three surgical procedures and multiple in-person and telemedicine consultations. Throughout the course of my care, I encountered repeated and significant issues with punctuality and professional reliability. Every scheduled surgical procedure was substantially delayed due to Dr. Ting’s late arrival, despite being the first patient of the day. The pattern extended to telemedicine visits, several of which were not only late but delayed by entire days. This level of inconsistency created unnecessary stress and raised serious concerns about the overall management of my treatment. I also experienced notable challenges related to diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making. Dr. Ting repeatedly assured me that imaging “clearly” showed an iliac vein… blockage and recommended the placement of a stent. Based on this conclusion, he proceeded with a prolonged and extremely painful venogram. The final result of that procedure was that no blockage existed. I was left with significant bruising in the groin and thigh for weeks afterward. Additionally, Dr. Ting placed a temporary vena cava filter as a precautionary measure. When he attempted to retrieve the filter months later, the procedure extended beyond three hours and was unsuccessful. A short time later, an interventional radiologist at another facility removed the filter in under ten minutes using a minimally invasive technique. I was also informed that the filter should not have remained in place for as long as it had. The administrative experience was similarly troubling. In my interactions, the office staff demonstrated consistent disorganization, poor communication, and an inability to provide timely or accurate information. During my visits to the Chinatown office, I observed conditions that were markedly below the standard I expect from a medical practice, including an exam room that appeared to double as a staff break area, including having a microwave on the examination table. While this review reflects only my personal experience, the cumulative impact of these issues… delays, questionable clinical judgments, unsuccessful procedures, and substandard administrative and environmental conditions, compelled me to seek care elsewhere. I strongly recommend that prospective patients obtain additional opinions and thoroughly evaluate their options before committing to treatment with this provider.
